He even got emotional when telling me that... like... I could tell he said it from the heart and that meant so much.
That someone acknowledges and understands the pain you're going through and doesn't judge you but instead listens and helps at the same time... I found it all very comforting.
It felt like an older brother telling me advice, and caring for me. Like truly caring.
Like... the way he said it pained him knowing the hard times I went through... and how he went through something similar with his best friend... he truly understood how it feels, losing a person even though they still exist.
It just gave me another level of trust and comfort I haven't had in a long time. Him and his wife, they both blew me away.
