(Christmas in Tracksuits arc) Part 2

Y/n: "Hey...Hey..."

Y/n leans over Kate's unconscious body, lightly tapping her face before she slowly stirs awake. Kate blinks a few times, taking the time for her eyes to readjust before waking up.

Y/n: "There's a Skyrim joke here somewhere but I'm not gonna do it"

Kate: "So it wasn't a dream..."

Y/n: "No, sadly it isn't. I mean, I don't know why you want to dream of waking up in an alleyway but-"

Clint: "Can we focus!?"

Sirens begin to wail in the distance, prompting the two heroes to hurriedly make their escape.

Clint: "Come on"

Y/n: "You heard him"

Y/n helped Kate up to her feet as she continued to be starstruck.

Kate: "H-Hawkeye and S-S-Spi-"

Y/n: "Yes, yes, autographs later. Right now we need to go"

Clint: "Do you live near here?"

Kate: "Yeah. I live just..."

Kate gestures to the distance

Clint: "Okay"

Kate: "Yeah. Okay"

Clint: "Here, take this. Are you okay?"

Kate: "I'm really fine. I..."

Y/n: "Okay, let's go"

Y/n retracts his suit before guiding Kate out of the scene.

Kate: "I saw a dead body, It was a first"

Clint: "We'll talk about it when you get there"

Kate then looks to Y/n in his civilian outfit.

Kate: "I can't believe you're this close. Man, you look so uncanny without your suit"

Y/n: "I'm glad someone still likes me in uniform"

Clint: "Where'd you learn to fight?

Kate: "I, uh, started taking martial arts when I was five

Clint: "Wow. So, like, a year ago?"

Kate: "Are... Are you assessing threats? Is that what you're doing?"

Clint: "Something like that"

Kate then looks to Y/n.

Kate: "That's how you two operate? You're just constantly looking for things that are suspicious or weird?"

Clint: "Uh-huh"

Y/n: "Sorry, about him. You know how old people get with Christmas and suddenly getting pulled out of retirement"

Clint: "I'm not THAT old"

Kate: "Look, just so you know, I'm not some total noob, right? Um...I was a little overwhelmed, but I held my own with those douchebags"

They then reached a small pizzeria.

Kate: "We're right here"

Kate walks to the side of the establishment before fishing out her keys.

Kate: "Um, some people have called me the world's greatest archer"

Clint: "Yeah? Are you one of those people?"

Kate: *stutters* "Well, one of them is. Yes"

Clint: "That's wonderful. Yeah. Open the door"

Kate: "Yes"
