Road to Spider-man (The Road Continues)

(Christmas in Tracksuits arc) Part 4

The woman in question begins to walk over to Clint and Kate, with a lackee following close behind her. 

Having reached Clint, the woman pulled out a switch blade before cutting the tape off of Clint's wrists. 

Clint: "Thank you"

The woman begins to sign at Clint. Prompting him to do his best in responding.

Clint: "Uhh...Sorry...Hard of hearing...Not Deaf..."

The woman continues to sign, prompting a sigh to escape from his lips. 

Clint: "Oh boy..."

Clint begins to response in to the best of his interpretation.

Clint: "More...cookie...Please...Thank you"

The woman rolls her eyes, prompting the lackee behind her to walk over and restrain Clint's arms behind him. 

Clint: "Right, well, it's nice talking to you"

Lackee: "She asked what you're doing here, Clint Barton"

Clint: "Riding a unicorn"

Kate: "Learning about Trust"

The woman begins to sign once again as the lackee acted as a mediator, interpreting both sides of the conversation. 

???: "You rely too much on technology"

Clint: "Well, my go-to weapon is two sticks and a string, so..."

???: "No, she meant your hearing aid"

Clint: "Ah!"

???: "You might find you're better off without it"

Without hesitation, Clint looks over to Kate. 

Clint: "Now, the suit. She put it on by accident. She didn't know what it means. She's not Ronin. Look at her. She's nine. And spoiled rotten"

???: "She beat up a few of my guys and then came running when you were in trouble. Seems like she's got something to do with it. And just because she's not the Ronin doesn't mean that Ronin's not back"

Clint: "That's just a rumor"

???: "How do you know?"

Clint: "Because he's dead"

???: "So who got him then?"

The woman does her best to read Clint's lips. Finding unable to decipher his words, she turns to her companion for interpretation. 

Black Widow

???: "So Ronin is dead, and the person who killed him is dead. That's convenient. How do you know this?"

Clint: "Because I was there"

???: "You're lying"

Reaching a roadblock to the conversation, the lackee took charge of the conversation, hoping to lead to a more conclusive end. 

Lackee: "Okay, clearly this isn't working. Um...If you have nothing to do with this, then why did you put on this suit in the first place?"

The woman begins to look at Kate, seeing her answer her lackee's question triggered something inside her. This prompts the woman to lunge at Kate nad grab her by the throat, choking her.

Lackee: "Maya, no!"

Kate: *hoarse* "Oh, God. I put that suit on because I didn't want anybody to know that I was at the auction, okay? I didn't know what it was when I put it on, I swear"
