Inspiration for this came from Elrond's alternate hairstyle and KuroEngel_OG
Ellon and elleth alike smiled warmly as the little elfling ran through Rivendell; she waving at each of them as she went. Her bare feet padding softly against the cool marble floors as she made her way to find the one person she loved more than any other in the whole world......her father. (Y/n) was the younger daughter of Lord Elrond and Lady Celebrían, the daughter of the Lady of Lórien and Lord Celeborn. And whereas her older sister Arwen was the Evenstar, (Y/n) was the Morningstar, the bringer of light and hope; there not a person that had ever met the little girl that had not immediately fallen in love with her, that didn't adore her. The child having a smile that most were sure could even light even the darkest heart of Mordor. A smile that had kept her family strong, especially her father, when Celebrían had made her way to the Undying Lands after her ordeal with orcs while on her way to see her mother. And though the great elven lord still lamented the loss of his wife and mother of his children, it was his children, particularly his little Morningstar, that made remaining in Middle earth, so important. The hope and love she gave him every day, giving him faith that wonderful, important things were yet to come.
"Ada............." The peredhel looking up from the pile of parchments on his desk, as he heard a soft voice. A smile making its way to his lips, as he saw a small smiling face looking at him from around the door to his rooms.
"My sweet one........." The lord replied, beckoning for his youngest child to join him. (Y/n) quickly making her way into the room and jumping up onto her father's lap; wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him tight.
"And what are these.........?" Elrond asked, as he looked at the flowers in his daughter's lap.
"Arwen told me that naneth liked the wildflowers that grew amongst the grasses, so I thought I would bring you some to make you smile. I was going to weave some of them into Arwen's hair, but she is too busy watching Estel fight against Elladan and Elrohir .........again......." (Y/n) explained. Elrond doing his best not to chuckle at the disappointed look on his daughter's face. The slight pout to her lips, one of the sweetest things he had ever seen.
"Well then, perhaps, if you would like, you could put some of them in my hair instead........." His kind words instantly turning (Y/n)'s pout into a smile. The lord chuckling at her enthusiasm, as she quickly jumped down from his lap and took his hand; pulling her father over to a lower seat so that she could begin her work.

Elrond sat in his chair, looking out over the great waterfall and smiling as his youngest child continued braiding, twisting and weaving his hair. The pile of flowers on the table at his side, getting less and less as she placed them into his dark locks.
Of all his children, (Y/n) looked the most like her mother and grandmother; (Y/n) the most wonderful reminder of how truly beautiful his wife had been; and how fortune he had been to call her his. Yet unlike Celebrían, his daughter also had the heart of a warrior; his youngest child seeming to thrive as Elladan, Elrohir and Estel taught her to fight with sword and bow. The little elleth promising that when she was old enough, that she would follow her brothers in hunting down and killing orcs. That she would help them wipe the scourge of evil from their world. And though Elrond feared for her safety......for the safety of all his children, he knew from his visions that his daughter would do just that. That she was meant for great things.
"Ada..........?" The sound of (Y/n)'s voice softly shaking him from his thoughts and memories. His smile growing once again, as he saw his daughter looking at him.
"I've finished........." She continued, holding out her hand for her father to take. The peredhel letting his daughter pull him to his feet, before taking him over to the mirror. His hair no longer loose and falling flat against his back; but pinned up and turned into the most elaborate of styles, with only the best of her blooms placed here and there.
"It is beautiful, my sweet. As beautiful as you are......." Elrond told her, as he looked between his daughter and his reflection; admiring her skill, before turning to crouch in front of her, his hand placed softly on her cheek.
"I miss her too, Ada. I miss her every day; but you still have us.....you still have me........" She told him; it as if (Y/n) knew that he had been thinking about her mother while she worked.
"One day you will see her again, but not yet......not yet. I still need you........And though we can't see her, naneth is always here with us........" The Morningstar placing her hand over her fathers as she spoke.
"So wise for one so young, my child..........."
"Only because I listen to you and Mithrandir, ada. Only because I have Elladan, Elrohir and Arwen." Elrond pulling his child into his arms, sure that he had to be the luckiest elf in the whole of Middle earth to have been blessed with such amazing children. The slightly sad moment taking a turn, as a soft attention grabbing cough made father and daughter move apart.
"My lord........." Lindir bowing, his eyes widening just a little, as he saw what had been done to the Lord of Rivendell's hair. A mischievous smile making its way onto Elrond's lips as he looked at his equerry. (Y/n) once again, seeming to be able to read his mind, as father and daughter looked the flowers that were left on the table. A chuckle leaving the lords lips, as his child left his side and ran over to Lindir, taking the confused ellon's hand and pulling him over to the chair that her father had been sat in.
"My lady...........?" Lindir questioned, as she moved behind him and took some strands of his hair between her fingers.
"She still has flowers left; and given that Arwen is probably still busy, don't fight it, Lindir........." Elrond told the puzzled younger ellon with a chuckle. He taking a seat and watching while his daughter's nimble fingers made light work of Lindir's hair. And while his little Morningstar placed her mother's favourite flowers into his friend's hair, he knew that (Y/n) was right, and Celebrían was with them.
