43) Getting the band back together

Sophie POV

'I'm sweating bullets in here'I think as I push myself out from under the mech.

I'm back in my tank top and overalls, a outfit combo I hadn't worn in a looong time but dearly missed.

I can hear Varrick shout commands from somewhere in the hall and roll my eyes.

He's lucky he's smart or he would have been kicked out of here a long time ago.

"Hey sis!"I hear Bolin shout from behind me and turn around.

"Bolin? Where were you?"I ask in reference to his abrupt absence.
We as siblings really got to establish a 'no running away without telling anyone' rule.

"You know helping Opal free her family, fighting Kuvira, found Zhu li and meeting Toph. You know nothing really."he smiles sheepishly and I place the hammer on the floor and give him a hug.

"Why am I not surprised?"I ask,
"how did it go?"

"I didn't die so I think it went okay,"Bolin looks at the mech,
" You're clearly back in your environment."

"Yeah I guess,"I say,"just doesn't feel the same anymore though."

"What changed?"Bolin asks but I shrug not really wanting to get into anything.

I look at the time. Mako should be starting the evacuation process soon.

"I wonder when Kuvira will actually strike."I say out loud and Bolin looks down at the floor.

"I don't know but I'm a bit scarred, Phie. You should have seen her weapon, it's terrifying."Bolin says and I feel a shiver run down my spine.

"I believe you on that but we're preparing for anything she throws at us."

"How far are you with the mechs?"Bolin asks looking over the assembly line.

"Could be better but we're trying our best."I sigh and soon get back to work again while Bolin takes his leave.

Just as the sun starts setting one of the president's assistants get my attention.

"Yes?"I ask.

"I was sent to inform you that the United Nations will be arriving in approximately 4 days."he says and I thank and dismiss him.

I grin from ear to ear.
Iroh is coming!
I have missed him so much even if it only has been a bit more than a week.

The days to Iroh's arrival pass quickly and soon Korra, Asami, my brothers, Prince Wu and the president are watching as the UN main ship docks in the harbour.

It seems to me as if Iroh brought almost every force the United Nations could offer.

I feels to like forever before the ship docks but it could have only been a couple of minutes.

Iroh looks over the railing, catches my eye and  rushes down to the docks.

I should have let the president say his greeting first but my feet did their own thing as I rushed to meet Iroh.

"Iroh!"I shout as I jump into his arms.

"Hi Darling."he whispers and hugs me tightly.

I pull a bit back just to move forward again but this time to kiss him.
