Before you read....
I have noticed that the votes are far lesser than the reads and no comments at all.
I cannot write if I don't know whether my readers are liking my content. I need to know what you think about the chapters and the story for me to provide you with good content.
So the next chapter will only be uploaded when I get:
10 votes
5 comments
This is like the most minimum target to complete which I hope you do.
I am looking forward to your comments.
Now let's dive into this new update folks.
Ayansh's POV
Now that the dates have been decided Maa asks the Agnihotris to join us for lunch. Everyone gets up to head to the dining room. I pull Maa aside and inform her that Her and I need to talk. Ms.Agnihotri looks at me with a questioning gaze and so does Maa but she nods and leaves us be. Ms.Agnihotri opens her mouth to speak but I interrupt her , "Not here" I say. I motion for her to follow me and I take her to the balcony on my floor, the one that is also attached to my room. No one comes here so we won't be interrupted.
"What is it?" she asks the moment I close the door.
I decide to cut the chase and go straight to the point. "Are you being forced into this?" I ask and she stiffens. She inhales and exhales. "No. I am not" she answers. I nod, grateful that that's not the case. "Are you?" I hear her voice. I look at her confused. "Are you being forced into this?" she asks , her voice genuine. I look at her for a second. "No I am not" I answer.
"Then why are you marrying me?" she asks, narrowing her eyes. I clear my throat. "I have my reasons" I answer. There is no way i am going to tell her about my motives.
"What about you?" I ask. "Why did you say yes?" I ask, now curious as to why she said yes.
She shrugs, "I have my reasons". Fair.
An awkward silence follows and i decide to break it.
Ishani's POV
"I need to say something," he says, his expression pensive. I ask him to go on.
"I don't do love Ishani" he says and my breath hitches.
He said my name.
"I will fulfil my responsibility as your husband. I will respect you and I will be loyal to you but" he pauses "don't expect me to love you. I can give you everything but that" he says calmly.
His tone is calm and not rude. Somehow I feel relieved listening to this. Coming into this marriage I definitely did not expect to be loved. His family liked me enough and that security was enough for me. Is enough for me. I myself am not in a state to 'love' someone.
"Don't worry Mr.Ranawat" I speak as he looks at me. I stare directly into his eyes, "I don't do love either. I will give you the same respect and loyalty that you will give me. We will both stay out of each others business."
I step forward still staring at him, "For the world we will be an ideal couple. But behind close doors there will be nothing."
His eyes widen a little and his nostrils flare as he looks at me. I turn and leave.
