Ishani's POV

I walk into the hedge maze. The sound of the music dies down as I go deeper in. This is a bad idea, I keep telling myself, but somehow I still keep walking. I hear a crunch of boots and walk in the direction of the sound. I take hurried steps as I cross various paths and take many turns. I am out of breath as I look around and search for any whisper or some type of noise, but all that falls on my ears is the rustling of leaves and buzzing of insects.

My steps halt as I hear a laugh and then a grunt. To the left, my mind screams, and I turn and walk on the path left of me. I can hear people talking which gets louder as I get closer and closer.

I peek through the edge of the wall of bushes and see Dev Mittal lying on the ground a few steps away. His face is filled with fear. Standing above him, with his back to me, is Mr.Ranawat. I look at him and my gaze moves down as I see a gun in his hand. My eyes narrow , What is he even doing?! I wonder.

"Please I am not at fault. Let me go please" Mittal begs while Mr.Ranawat just laughs at him. The sound so deep and dark, my body arches as if answering its call.

"You should have thought about that before going after my sister you bastard" he shouts and kicks Dev Mittal in his stomach. He groans and coughs and tries to scoot back.

His sister? This man went after Yuvika?! My eyes widen at the revelation while my anger shoots up. How dare he-

My blood runs cold and my mouth becomes dry as I spot, through the small gap between the two hedges, a masked man with his gun pointed at Mr.Ranawat. My eyes narrow as I see him aiming and ready to shoot.

I observe his movements as much as possible through the dark. I see him step out of his hideout and he raises the gun.

Ayansh's POV

I grip my gun tightly and take off the safety as I follow the bastard. He sneaks through the hedges and I walk faster. Soon I come at a fork and I see him turn right. I smirk as I turn left. My ears perk at the sound of his hushed breathing and hurried footsteps. I round the corner. I press my back to the hedge as I hear him close. I slowly peek out and see him stand with his back to me.

I quietly go towards him and just when he turns, I punch him hard. He falls on the ground. I kick him once, twice and he cries out in pain. I laugh at his state. He deserves this. The image of my sister's tears flashes before my eyes.

"Please I am not at fault. Let me go please" he begs and I just laugh at his misery. Stupid fucker. He is an idiot if he thinks that I am going to let him go so easily. My mind fills with ideas of how I could torture him.

"You should have thought about that before going after my sister you bastard" I shout and kick him in the stomach. He groans and coughs and tries to scoot back.

My body brims with energy as I raise my hand to shoot him. I almost take a step forward when I am pushed to the ground. A soft body lands on me and the gun is snatched from my hand. A loud gunshot is heard and a man screams in pain.

The weight is lifted off me and I look forward and see that a masked man is lying on the ground, crying in pain. Blood flows out from his stomach where he is shot. I look up and see a woman holding my gun. She stands in front of me, her back to me. I get up. She turns to me and I freeze in shock. Ms.Agnihotri's eyes stare back at me. Her face a mask of cold fury. My eyebrows furrow in confusion, "What are you-"

"I saw him follow you here" she answers while pointing at the man panting on the ground. Before I could get over the shock of what the hell just happened, Dev fucking Mittal gets up and runs further in the maze. "Fucking bastard" I curse.

Ms.Agnihotri walks over to the man lying on the ground and kicks him in the stomach. Right where he was shot. He kneels over in pain. She sits down and grabs his hair and yanks his head back.

"Why are you after him?" she asks, her voice commanding. Almost monotonic. He merely glares at her refusing to answer. She places my gun on his forehead and he swallows nervously, "I won't ask again" she snarls. "I am not after him" he says and she presses the gun harder in his temple. He whimpers, "I swear I am not after him I was just paid to protect Mr.Mittal" he gasps. She gets up and he sighs in relief which is short lived because she swings the gun and hits his head with the back of it. He falls unconscious on the ground with a thud.

She turns to me and scoffs. "You just can not stay out of trouble can you?" she says. I scowl. "It just follows you everywhere" she adds and shakes her head. "How dare you talk to me like that! What do you even know about my 'troubles' " I seethe. She snorts, "Get off your high horse. You're not that special. Surely you must have done something for people to be after you" she says. "Also you being you, this seems entirely plausible" she adds. What the hell is that supposed to mean?

I divert the topic, "So we are going to completely ignore the fact that you just shot a man?" I ask raising my brow. She scoffs "Oh please. You were about to do the same to Dev Mittal" she says. She steps forward and hands me the gun. "Shouldn't you be going after him or something?" she asks pointing to the way he just ran. I give her a bored expression. She rolls her eyes and walks away.

"Where are you going?" I ask. She looks at me , " Umm out?! Kya puri raat yahi gujarne ka iraada hain aapka?" she asks while narrowing her eyes.

This is when I look at her. actually look at her. She looks absolutely breathtaking in the olive dress. It reaches just above her knees. Her shoulders are mostly bare and thin straps of her dress lie on them. She snaps her fingers in front of me. I look at her and she looks at me with a line on her forehead.

I sigh. Iraada toh bahot kuch karneka hain. My fists tighten as I feel my body reacting the to the sight of this stunning woman before me.

"Do you even know the way out?" I ask her. She opens her mouth and closes it. She takes out her phone from her dress pocket and looks at it. She curses. "Damn it there's no signal" she says frustrated. I remove my phone and check for signal but nope, we are out of luck. I can hear the faint sounds of the party going on outside.

"Lets find a place where we can get a signal and then call for help" I suggest and she nods reluctantly. I move forward and she follows me as we turn right at the corner.
