Vivaan's POV
I couldn't stop feeling it.
The panic.
My heart has been in my throat the entire time.
I cannot stop hearing it.
Ishani's screams.
Her begging.
Her cries.
I cannot remove the image from my mind.
My brother's pale face.
Deathly white.
And the blood. So much blood.
On the floor. Ishani's clothes. Her hands.
The moment she called us crying, Aditi and I had rushed to their house. Laksh and Trilok uncle were alarmed on seeing us. But uncle almost collapsed when he saw the paramedics pull Ayansh's bloodied body from his room into the ambulance. Aradhana aunty fainted on seeing her son in such a lifeless state. And Laksh? He couldn't take his eyes off the both of them.
Her cries had echoed in the ambulance as she had held on to her husband with an iron grip. She had screamed at them to drive faster. Yelled at the policeman who had dared to stop them. Threatened the doctors with death before they went in to treat Ayansh.
Aditi was sitting with Ishani and Laksh. She herself was too shaken to get involved in this.
I looked down at my ringing phone.
Viren uncle.
My eyes flicker to Ishani who was glaring darkly at the wall opposite her. She had refused to move and refused to change out of her clothes. Refused to let Aditi clean the blood off her hands.
It was a similar scenario. The pale hospital walls. The worry. The panic. The fear.
Instead this time it was Ayansh in the operating room and Ishani spiraling outside. If Ayansh was destructive when she was hospitalised, then ishani......she looked deadly.
