Ishani's POV

I had barely set foot in the palace when I was engulfed in a hug. I stood frozen as warm hands caressed my back. The same hands cupped my cheeks and my chest cracked at the sight of tears and concern on Ayansh's mother's face. She sniffled as her hands pushed back my hair and her eyes took me in. Ayansh's father stood behind his wife as his face mirrored his wife's worry and concern. Before any of them could speak Devika chachi hugged me close. Viren chachu patted her shoulder and I heard her constant whisper "Thank god you are alright" she said.

The amount of care and love these four individuals provided me in a span of few seconds was far more than my own parents have ever given me. I almost laughed at the irony as my eyes flicked to my dna sharers who stood in the corner of the room.

I spotted dadu trying to get up from his chair and rushed forward. I made him sit back as I knelt down. "I am fine dadu" I reassured him and everyone. Still it wasn't enough to convince the siblings as their eyes raked over me. Laksh and Avyaan breathed a sigh of relief only after they had completed their assessment. I stood up as I turned to Yuvika whose lip quivered. "I was so scared. The news showed the building. The fire..." she gasped and I held her tightly. "I am fine" I said firmly and I felt her nod in my neck.

I felt Ayansh step behind me as I turned. Noticing the questions in everyones eyes he announced that things are being handled and it's too late so everyone should depart to their rooms. Everyone left and soon I could breathe a sigh of relief. Bidding goodnight to Siddharth, Vivaan bhai and Ayansh, bhai and I left for our rooms. The moment I stepped inside mine Shreya and Vidhi bhabhi smothered me with constant questions. After consoling bhabhi and a worried Aditi who had come to my room the moment she received the news, it was finally just me and Shreya.

"Does your fiance know about this?" she asked the moment I showed her the text. "No. I didn't tell him. Although he thinks that it the same person who has been sending the threats" I answer and she nods. Noticing my unusual silence she questioned me. "I-" I sighed "I don't know Shreya. This just feels...too weird. I mean who would benefit from this marriage NOT happening?" my brows furrow as I look at the screen "and this text. I don't know why this seems familiar? Like strange, unknown but still vaguely familiar?" I say.

"It's ok. We will discuss this tomorrow. You're exhausted so rest now" she said as she gave me my phone back. But I could sense that there was something she was holding back. I held her hand as she decided to leave. "Say it. Whatever it is just say it" I urged.

"What's your angle at this Ishu? Why are you still going through with this marriage? Someone is threatening you. That person burnt your building for gods sake!! " she exclaimed worriedly. "Bhabhi is not pregnant. We know that now then why?" she asks and I sigh.

"I don't see why not" she looks at me confused. "The family is good. And I have to marry at some point in life then why not this?" I exclaim and she looks at me incredulously. I groan "Father threatened to stop mother's treatment" her eyes widen and she curses.
