Author's POV
Laksh sees Naina go with Ishani. This isn't right. What if Naina says something to Isha di? He thinks. He hurries to find his brother. He would be a fool if he hasn't noticed how his brother keeps looking at her. He doesn't know what it is yet but he knew that Ayansh would dissolve the situation.
On the other hand Ayansh had already seen that something was wrong. He had seen his brother's scared expressions and Ishani's angry one. He calls Yuvika and asks her what happened. Soon Laksh joins them.
Yuvika tells Ayansh everything. His blood boils on hearing the things Naina Awasthi said. Avyaan who had also joined them to see what was going on listens everything and turns to Laksh.
"And you didn't say anything?" he gasps. "Laksh bhai" Avyaan says flustered. "I-its" Laksh stutters as he breathes unevenly. Ayansh notices his state. "What is it?" he asks controlling his anger. "Isha di was also very angry over what Naina said and she-" he pauses and gulps. "She what?" Ayansh asks , his voice hard. Laksh shivers "She took Naina somewhere".
Ayansh doesn't wait to hear anything else. All the siblings leave the hall in search of both of them. Their parents see them leaving and know that something is happening but stay quiet and wait for them to return.
They search everywhere and Laksh mentions that Ishani said something about seeing decoration. Yuvika recollects that she had asked the event manager to decorate the backyard too in case the hall falls short for seating the people for dinner. They run to the backyard.
As they reach they hear a pained scream. A female scream. Ayansh's heart beats faster as he thinks of all possible worst case scenarios. Is it Ms.Agnihotri? Is someone hurting her?
His eyes darken at the thought of something happening to her. They spot the light to the small room on the other side of the circular backyard to be on.
As they reach closer, they hear Ishani's voice, "How dare you say that about him" she shouts her voice dangerously low. The door is locked from inside. They stand near the window and what they see shocks them.
Ishani is holding Naina by her neck by wrapping her own dupatta around it. She has pushed Naina to a wall while her other hand twists Naina's hand behind her back. "What does it matter to you" Naina gasps as squirms in her hold tries to breathe. Ishani laughs darkly , " Laksh Ranawat is like my younger brother. So say anything about him to anyone and you will come across the worst version of me." she says coldly and lets go of Naina who falls down to her knees gasping for breath. She turns with her back to the wall.
Ishani grabs her hair and pulls it back to make Naina look at her. She cries in pain. " He is an intelligent and hardworking man and you are daddy's spoiled princess. You are not even worth enough for him to look at you." Ishani bends down and looks her in the eye, "Never ever speak of him like that. Am I clear?" she tightens her hold and Naina whimpers, "I asked. Am. I. Clear?" she says and Naina nods. Ishani lets go of her hair.
Ishani moves to unlock the door and finds the Ranawat siblings standing there with varying expressions. Yuvika's eyes widen and Ishani turns in time to see Naina throw the knife, kept in the room with other utensils, at her. She grips the knife by its edge mid-air before it hits her.
Naina's eyes widen as she sees Ishani gripping the knife hard and blood trickling down her palm. Ishani throws away the knife and laughs. Naina gulps in fear as she looks at her. "I am letting you go this time because I deeply respect your mother." Ishani says and walks towards Naina " Pull shit like this the next time and you wouldn't find me to be so merciful."
Ishani turns back and calls Laksh over. She asks Naina to apologize but she just stands looking at Laksh with anger.
"I SAID APOLOGIZE TO HIM" Ishani shouts and Naina flinches. She says sorry to him and Laksh just nods. She asks the Ranawat siblings to leave. They hesitate but leave when she glares at them. Ishani ignores HIS gaze on her. When all of them leave she turns to Naina, " You are not going to say a word of this to anyone. Understood?"
Ishani sighs, "Naina" she says as Naina looks up at her in fear, " I have seen you acting. You are good at it. You have a talent for it. Work over it. Be like your mother. Don't be this person who lives over her father's money. Don't be the person you accused Laksh of being" Ishani says and leaves the room.
Naina looks at her retreating figure. She thinks over her words. She knows she should be angry at her for what she did and she is but something about what she said makes her wonder. What is this woman?
The Ranawats enter the hall shocked after what they had seen. Trilok and Aradhana approach them while Viren and Devika stay with Rajveer.
Trilok and Ardhana look at Laksh and Yuvika with concern. They asked Avyaan what happeed but the four siblings look at the door to see Ishani and Naina enter.
Ishani and Naina walk to Prerna Awasthi and her husband. " My precious daughter" Mr.Awasthi says, "We have been looking for you everywhere". Prerna turns to Ishani and they introduces themselves.
"Of course everyone knows you ma'am" Ishani says with a smile. She hides her hand in the pocket of her dress which was drenched in blood from the inside. " I just love your work and your daughter's too" she says turning to Naina with a genuine smile. Naina simply nods. "I hear you are having a launch party for your upcoming movie".
"Oh yes dear I do" Prerna says. " I am sure you might've heard that we are launching a new collection. Your daughter has my number from the last time I sold to her. Why don't we meet up and get something for you to wear which is as spectacular as you. For your launch" Ishani says. Prerna's eyes light up at the idea and they decide to meet as soon as possible.
Ishani takes their leave and turns to find laksh.
