Before you read:
I am so sorry for the delay. Some thing came up and I didn't get time to write. Then I was sick so that prolonged it even more.
Unfortunately, I cannot give you a definite date for the next update but I will try to put it up as soon as possible.
Know this- when I put up spoilers on Instagam, is when I will update the next chapter, in the Same Week.
My apologies for the late update. I hope you enjoy this chapter. Its a little long.

Author's POV
Ishani's fingers glided gently over the scars marking his back as he lay on his stomach. She sighed softly, watching the state of his back. It was a canvas of chaos- a stark contrast to the peace covering his face as he slept. Her eyes traced his features illuminated by the soft golden glow of sunlight. A gentle smile curved her lips as she stroked his cheek, threading her fingers through his messy hair.
The moment she felt his muscles tense beneath her touch, she knew—he was awake. She watched, captivated, as his lashes fluttered open. He blinked, disoriented, and she greeted him with a tender smile. But when her fingers drifted down the curve of his spine, she felt the hitch in his breath.
Her heart clenched as his gaze fell away from hers. "Good morning, Ayansh," she whispered.
No answer. No glance.
"Ansh," she tried again, eyes following the bob of his throat as he swallowed hard. He flinched slightly when her hand cradled his cheek. "Ayu..."
His eyes finally met hers, and what he saw—unwavering tenderness—made his chest tighten unbearably. Her touch was featherlight as she stroked his skin, giving him space, saying nothing. Just waiting. "Morning," he rasped eventually, voice dry and low. She smiled again, and something in him cracked open. He saw her eyes shift to his back—pain swimming in them, but not pity.
He didn't know why he suddenly felt exposed. Vulnerable. Her watched as her hand rose to touch his back. She looked in his eyes as his fingers encircled her wrist stopping the movement. Her brows furrowed in worry. "Don't", he whispered. She didn't move. Didn't let go. Had she hurt him? Was she hurting him now?
"They're ugly", he said, voice strained.
Her gaze melted. "They're not ugly", she said softly. She looked at his back. His skin carved with an agony so deep he felt it in his soul every waking moment.
He scoffed bitterly at her words. He did not need her to pacify him. He had lived with this horror all his life. He could take it. The truth.
"They're beautiful," she murmured. His breath faltered. "Not on the surface. They might seem ugly but", her fingers lightly brushed the jagged scar trailing from his left shoulder to the base of his spine, and he shuddered. "It's like lightning amidst the dark clouds. Strong. Powerful. Sharp. Lethal. Captivating ".
