Ayansh's POV
"You look like shit"
Vivaan says as he enters my room. "I feel like shit" I answer as my eyes go back to my phone that is lying on my bed. I tighten my watch as he comes and sits on the bed.
"Did you not sleep well?" he asks. His face fills with concern "Is it happening again?" he questions.
I hate how I immediately understand what he is talking about. "No. It's not. It hasn't in a long time." I say and he looks at me suspiciously. I sigh "Fine yes sometimes. But not that frequently." I answer truthfully. He nods and I can see the relief in his eyes.
"So then what is it?" he asks as my eyes wander back to my phone. "Ohh. Missing her already?" he taunts, with a smirk. But after noticing my agitation he sobers up.
"She called me last night. She seemed worried" I say. "Her voice sounded hoarse. Like she had been crying or something." I say as her voice from yesterday fills my mind. Her panicked breaths were clearly audible on the call.
Somehow her being in that state unnerved me a lot. All I wanted to do was grab my keys and drive to her apartment. But I didn't. It would have been rude given that her brother and sister-in-law are there too.
"What do you mean crying? What did she say?" Vivaan asks as worry fills his face. I tell him everything. I wanted to call the doctor but it would be an invasion of privacy so I didn't.
"I did text her in the morning asking if she was fine but there's no reply" I say as I check my phone for the upteenth time since this morning.
"Go to her place then." Vivaan shrugs. "And what will I say when her brother opens the door? Oh hey, your sister called me last night. I just wanted to check if she was alright" I scowl. "He seems to dislike me enough already" I say as I recall his reaction to me. Honestly, I would have had the same reaction if it was Yuvika in Ishani's place.
