Before you read:
This chapter is shorter than usual but I hope you like it nonetheless.
Lemme know how you like the teeny tiny twist that you'll see.
Also lemme know you views on the.....new character.....in this chapter. Really hope you like it.
Also updates are now gonna be slow. I'm dealing with something so I'm not getting much time to write.

Ayansh's POV
Happiness is an illusion. Pain is the ultimate reality
I have known this truth all my life. Until I met her. The lotus that bloomed in the darkest of waters. The light that eradicated the darkness in my soul. The key that unlocked the cages of my mind. The rhythm of my heartbeat.
My Isha
The illusion of happiness lasted as long as she was by my side. The moment I lost her, the illusion shattered. The light got shadowed by darkness. And the void in my being reopened.
For years I asked myself only one question- why me?
Why did it happen with me? What was my fault? Why was I hurt? Why was I betrayed? Why did no one understand me? Why do I have to save everyone?
Why was I lonely in my own house?
Why me?
On the surface I had the perfect family. The one every individual yearns to have. But the truth is, we are just people tied by bonds of blood but separated by strings of obligations. Everyone cares for each other but no one dares to actually love.
Love out loud. Love fiercely. Love freely.
But she did. She saw me, she heard me. She loved me.
No, she loves me
When we came back home, I couldn't enter my room. Our room. It was filled with her essence. Her presence. Pieces of her love, her care in every inch of the space. Reminders of her, our shared moments. Reminders of my mistakes and what I lost.
So like the coward I am, I went to Laksh's room. My brother, who quietly let me in. He understood. He always understands even when I didn't know he did.
Funny how life comes in full circles. It was this very room I had shared with him as a kid. The very room I left as a teen. And now I've returned here. Again. To him.
He didn't complain. Not one bit. Didn't mind me sleeping in his bed, using his clothes.
"You aren't a burden to me bhai", he had said. "Was I a burden to you during my recovery?", he had asked, making me appalled at just the thought. Then laughing at my expression, he'd silently offered me his space. "Like old times", he'd said before quietly sitting beside me in his bed doing his work.
