Ishani's POV

I pass the earrings back to Yuvika and she thanks me with a smile as she leaves wearing them. I sigh as I look around. My house is buzzing with energy. Servants cleaning the rooms, my family rushing around. I smile as I hear Yuvika asking Laksh about her gift. Raksha bandhan- such a joyous day and yet my heart feels heavy. Empty.

Ayansh's words have been stuck in my mind since yesterday. I knew it. I knew this would happen someday. Someday I will have to tell him everything. But I hadn't thought that, that day would come so soon. I need time. That's what I had said to him yesterday and he had accepted my request. But deep down we both knew that time is of the essence. This game of chase has lasted way too long and it has to be stopped. He will stop it. For that, I'll have to tell him. Everything.

I gulp as I look at my family. All of them. So happy, so pure, so loving and caring. My family . I look my fill. Because god knows what the storm of my past is going to leave in its wake. Will they accept me? Or look at me differently? Will Ayansh still........want me?

I look at my phone once again. I had called Shreya yesterday but she didn't pick up. So I texted her and she hasn't answered yet. That never happens. Something is clearly wrong with her. Shreya has been the only constant in my life. Her absence has made me grow more anxious now. I need to meet her today. After we are done here I'll go over to their house. I have to tie rakhi to Shreyansh bhaiya afterall. God I miss Ishaan bhai.

"Bhabhi!! Come quick!!", I hear Avyaan call me from the foyer. With concern filling me at his urgency, I head out of the living room. My feet halt and a smile blooms on my lips as I take in the scene before me.

Ayansh's POV

I step back as my wife rushes over to meet her best friend and his brother. Shreya laughs as Ishani hugs her tight. I stand behind her, my hand outstretched towards her incase she stumbles. She might say her leg is healed but I have seen her wince once or twice while getting up. She'd rather wallow in pain than let me know. "I didn't know you were coming", Ishani says with a smile as Shreyansh embraces her. "Surprise!!", Shreya squeals. I follow them as they head inside.
