Ayansh's POV
I straighten as Aditi comes towards me. "Here. Take this. This should help" she says as she hands me the medications. I nod and turn. "Ayansh" her voice stops me. She shifts on her feet nervously. "Make things right." I stiffen. "I don't know her much but from what I have gauged and what Vivaan has told me, she is a good person," she sighs. "I am sure this is some misunderstanding. Just- just make this right" I nod at her plea. She pats my hand with a small smile and we part ways.
It is well after dinner and late in the night. I had to entertain my family and give Aditi time to fetch the meds.
The sound of my footsteps echoes in the hallway as I walk towards her room. With each step, my nervousness grows.
All of this is so messed up
I run a hand through my hair. I take a deep breath as I stand before her door. I turn the knob and enter. The moment I take a step in, the whoosh of something flying through the air fills my ears. On instinct I bend to the side. I look up to find a knife embedded in the wall exactly where my head was.
My eyes widen and I look ahead to find Ishani staring at me with an alarmed look. She sighs and her shoulders slump in relief. "It's you" she whispers and looks away. I lock the door behind me and approach her. She still doesn't meet my eye.
"Of course it's me," I say. The light from the bedside lamp is dim, but bright enough for her bruises to be noticeable. I clench my jaw at the sight as rage pulsates through me yet again.
