Ishani's POV
You're not dying Isha. You hear me? I am coming. I am on my way.
Isha. Wake up please. I'm here. I came for you.
Open those pretty eyes.
Open your eyes tesoro please.
Meri jaan le lo par apni aankhein kholo meri jaan.
A regular beeping noise fills my ears. My body feels heavy and a weird tingling sensation develops at my fingertips. I blink as the light erupts in the room as it comes into focus. My vision clears as I see the monitor beside me. I am lying down. On a bed.
I blink as I try to focus. The white walls, the machines, the smell of chemicals.....hospital. I am in a hospital.
My eyes widen as the events of late resurface in my mind. The door opens and see a nurse enter. She smiles as she sees me awake. "How are you feeling now?" she asks softly. I nod, trying to convey something....anything.
"It's okay. Take it easy. You are at the hospital. Do you remember what happened?", she asks gently and I nod in affirmation. "Okay. That's a good sign that you remember. Don't worry we are going to take good care of you. I will call the doctors okay?", she says and leaves.
I remove the oxygen mask from my face. The door opens and a doctor comes in followed by- I sigh in relief- Aditi.
She comes to my side quickly and holds my hand. "Hey. Are you okay now?" she asks softly. "Yeah. Fine" I rasp. The doctor examines me while I hold on to Aditi's hand. The doctor informs her about my condition, saying that I am stable now. "You have a strong support system Mrs.Ranawat. Your entire family was here all night. Don't worry. You will be fine soon" he assures me and leaves.
The moment the doctor and the nurse leave, Vivaan bhai enters. "Thank god. Thank god" he murmurs as he kisses the back of my palm. I smile at him. "Everyone was here?" I ask Aditi. She nods with a smile. "We sent them home this morning. Vivaan, let everyone know that she has woken up", Aditi says and with one last look at me, Vivaan bhai leaves.
"Can you help me sit up?" I ask. Aditi nods, and slowly with her help I sit on the bed. I drink the water she gives me. "Tell me everything", I tell her and she does.
"God they must be worried sick", I sigh. "They all were. And Ayansh-" she shudders. I look at her in worry. "What about him? Is he fine?", the beeping on the machine intensifies. Aditi's eyes flick to the monitor and then to me. "Calm down Ishani. Your heart is racing. Ayansh is fine. So calm down", she guides me through some breathing exercises. "What happened to Ayansh?", I ask.
