Chapter 69: Survivors

I woke up with tight handcuffs tied on both of my hands. I slowly raise my head, I feel numb in my whole body after several hours of standing here in the room. I can see nothing but white, there is a big mirror in front of me so I can see myself there.  I was wearing a white medical gown, my long hair was messy, and above all, both of my arms were raised due to the bonds attached to both sides of the wall. The iron door slowly opened, and three armed men that I didn't know entered. Next came another person with an ear-to-ear smile.

Dahan-dahang lumakad ito sa aking harapan, my brows furrowed as I've looked into his face.

"A-Ash?" I muttered,

Nilingon niya ang mga kasama.

"Can you leave us for a moment?" He said,

Tumango ang tatlong armadong lalaki bago lumabas. Bumalik ang tingin niya sa akin.

Half of his face is decaying?

Is he?

"What? Are you scared of my face?" He smiled,

"W-What are you?"

"Don't act like you're scared of me," He said and walked closer to me. He gently touched my chin. "We're the just the same."

Nilayo ko ang mukha mula sa pagkakahawak niya.

I feel disgusted upon staring into his face closely.

I bit my lower lip. "I-I'm not like you," I whispered, humalakhak siya.

"You are don't deny it." Halakhak niya,

"Bakit nabuhay kapa?" Sabi ko,

"Bakit? Ayaw mo na ba akong makita?"

"Sana namatay ka nalang."

"Boring naman kung mamamatay agad ako, hindi ko pa nga nakakasama ng matagal si Gray." He said,

"What did you do to survive like this? Did you allow anyone to experiment with yourself?"

He smirked.

"Why? Hindi ba bagay?"

He's like a monster. Half of his face is decayed. I can see his bone while half of it is still normal, but he has these milky eyes like with those Aphrovilas.

"No, I didn't do anything to survive this far. After the incident, I just woke up like these. Those Aphrovilas, they're not attacking me anymore even if they feel my presence." He explained, inangat niya ang hibla ng suot na jacket.

Nagsalubong ang kilay ko nang makita ang maraming maitim na ugat sa kaniyang balat.

"Well, I got the first dosage of Aphrovila Vertigo and viola! The microorganisms that contained the Aphrovila virus mutate into my body." He laughed, "Kung ang Aphrovila Virus ay kayang ihajack ang utak ng ibang tao, iba ako." He stepped forward. He gently touched my chin again.

"I can control the virus, I can control the Aphrovilas." He whispered, "And good for you because I'm still choosing you as my comrade even though you betrayed me a lot of times."

"How can you be sure of that? Sa tingin mo papayag ako sa gusto mo?" Galit na sabi ko,

"Alam kong papayag ka, alam ko din na bumalik na ang memory mo. Maling desisyon mo lang alam mo na ang mangyayari 'sayo." Mariin niyang sabi.

"Just kill me," Galit na sabi ko,

He softly caressed my face. Nandidiring inilayo ko ang aking mukha sa kaniya.

Fuck him!

"You want to get killed? Sure!" He smirked, "Gavin!"

Isang tawag lamang ay pumasok na sila Gavin, kasunod niya si Peter at isa pang tauhan ng Genesis. Mabilis nilang tinanggal ang magkabilang posas sa akin, nang matanggal ay tsaka ako binuhat ni Gavin na parang sako.
