Misty

He cleaned my wounds, but he didn't talk for a while. Trying to figure out what was happening and why he was alone, I walked downstairs and looked for him, but I didn't see his shadows. The house was clean and empty. Only Gavin was sitting and handcuffed on the floor, his eyes and mouth covered. When he heard the step of my foot down the stairs, he immediately moved and tried to scream from the cloth covering his mouth.

Trying to analyze what was happening, I looked outside the house, only to realize that we were in an isolated place. There is a big gate in the distance, and I can see the big signboard posted there.

"Boulton Zoo."

I whispered as I scanned the place. It's located near the forest, and I don't even know how we ended up in this place. And how did he manage to clean this place from Aphrovilas? He's alone.

I retreated when the black vehicle entered from the gate, mabilis bumaba ang sakay nito, nang makita na nasa labas ako mabilis niyang sinarado ang sasakyan bitbit ang malaking bag lumapit siya 'sakin. He was dressed in a faded pants and plain dirty shirt.

He handed me the contents of the bag he was holding. "I grabbed you some clothes."

I let a sigh and cleared my throat. Right, I was still wearing the medical gown.

"Thanks." Maikling sabi ko, I saw my sword on his back. Nakita niya ang pagdaan ng mata ko sa kaniyang likuran kaya agad niyang kinuha ang katana at inabot sa akin.

"That's yours." Sabi niya, nakita ko pa ang panginginig ng kamay niya nang iabot sa akin ang armas.

Naguguluhan na napatitig ako sa kaniya. "How did you find the Palace?" Sagot ko bago kinuha ang katana.

It's still the same, I missed holding this.

"I was monitoring the Palace for a while, didn't have any idea that you're being hostage." Sagot niya,

Habang nakatitig sa katana ay tumango ako. I remember the last day I saw him, I was being choked in death, and both life and death were shoved at me. As if like my screams were louder than my hopes. As I fought for the remaining faith that I had in me, I couldn't imagine that I would end up in the same place as I had years ago.

Yelling,

Screaming,

I was being held up alone inside a cage like a prison.

I took a deep breath before turning my back on him to go inside, I could feel his heavy stares, but I needed to think for now, I went straight to the bedroom and changed my clothes. After that, I stared at the katana I was holding for several minutes. It was shiny and well cared for. I spent a few more minutes in the room before deciding to go out, I went down the stairs again and went straight outside the house.  I saw him behind the car, and the back door of the car was open.

Lumapit ako at nakita na maayos niyang 'sinasalansan ang maraming baril. Nang lingunin niya ako ay mabilis siyang umatras para humarap sa akin.

"Dami 'niyan, how did you get this bunch of weapons." Tanong ko,

"It's just few, mga natira lang 'sakin." Sagot niya,

I nodded. "Where's the others? Why are you alone?"

"I left the group."

Nagsalubong ang kilay ko. "Why?"

"Finding you."

My heart raced.

I looked at him as if I was going to sink from where I was standing at the kind of look he was giving me.  I looked down at his mouth, and the edge of his thin lips was trembling, I could also feel the tension in his shoulders. I bent down and took a deep breath.  It happened so fast that I used to see him in my dreams, and every time, I closed my eyes.
