"Never, ever make your bodyguards leave you alone, especially when you're outside."

Kagigigising lang niya mula sa isang oras na pagkakatulog ay panenermon ni Ali ang kaagad na bumungad sa kanya. They're still in his office. Pero kung alam lang niyang katakot-takot na sermon ang aabutin, sana pala nag-sleepwalk na siya kanina pa.

"Are you listening, Honey?"

"Yeah," she lazily answered.

"Why did you come here?"

She was now sitting on a long sofa bed while Ali was on his swiveling chair. Daig niya pa ang nakagawa ng krimen at kasalukuyang inuusig sa presinto. Ang mga bodyguards niya ay narito rin ngayon at mukhang tapos nang pagalitan nito.

"Nothing. I was just bored," she replied casually. Naka-indian siya at may nakapatong lamang na blanket sa kandungan.

Napasuklay si Ali ng mga daliri sa buhok nito.

"Great reason."

Umikot ang mga mata niya sa sarkastikong tono nito.

"Are you expecting me to just roam around your whole house for the whole 9 fucking months?"

Though, she only has more than 5 months now, she still couldn't just stay in one place. At papaano niya sasabihing wala lang talaga siyang pera kaya siya nandito? She's supposed to be shopping right now pero wala siyang pera! 

"There are things you can do, according to the seminar we just attended."

"Like what? Do some gentle exercises alone like a weirdo?"

"Spend time with your friends."

"I have no friends—but oh, I have one and she's probably busy living a life."

"Pamper yourself."

"I have no money."

Fuck. That's quite fucking embarrassing to say.

"I gave you a card that you can spend."

"And I'm not spending other people's money."

Duh? Naghihirap lang siya ngayon, pero hindi makapal ang mukha niya. Everything's back to normal now and that should include her frozen accounts, but her annoying father still won't fix them because he wants her to rely on Ali, which is never going to happen.

"Other people's money?" malamig na pag-uulit ni Ali sa sinabi niya at saka tumayo.

Naglakad si Ali patungo sa kanya. Parang pakiramdam niya ay may mali sa sinabi niya dahil sa mga tingin nito. Bakit? Totoo naman, 'di ba? It's not like she's still working for him para patuloy siyang gumastos gamit ang card nito. He gave her that card when they were still in Makaslag.

Huminto si Ali sa harapan niya at dahan-dahang yumuko para ilapit ang sarili. Itinukod ni Ali ang mga braso sa magkabilang gilid niya at napalunok siya sa malamig na titig nito. Their faces were less than an inch off from each other!

"Am I one of your other people? Or you want me to remind you who I am to you, so you can spend my money?"

"D-Do'n ka nga!" Tinulak niya ito ng mahina sa balikat, pero hindi naman ito natinag.

He kept making her feel troubled. Napalunok na naman siya para pigilan ang sarili niya sa pagpapakita ng kahinaan niya sa lalaking ito.

"You have my child inside you, and that's the reason why you can spend all the money I have..." Yumuko ito para tignan ang umbok sa kanyang tiyan, "both you and my child have the right to that. Do you understand it now?"
