billie pov:

river hasnt moved out of bed for two days, im worried about her "you going to eat something"
i say closing the door behind me holding a sandwich in my hands

"please" i say sitting on the bed next to her she shook her head as she laid facing the other way

i place my hand on her back and she flinched, now im seriously worried about her, shes been bed rotting since that dream she hasn't showered, eaten she only gets up to go the rest room and she flops back into bed

"please river" she sits up and takes a bite of the sandwich smiling at me, i could tell she only did it for me but i was happy to see her eat something "now this" i hand her a protein shake

her eyes puffed red, turning purple the bloodshot staring at me, the tear stains on her cheek were her tan had came off, "how about a nice bath" i say smiling

she lifted her shoulders so i walk into the bathroom and ran the bath

taking a breather while i was in there, what if she goes to university on friday with this mentality? she wont concentrate or even give anything at all

i walked back into the room and she smiled at me, 'the smile that you gave me even when you felt like dying' the lyrics flowed through my head

as i stood her up and undressed her, she got into the bath, she layed her head on the pillow and ive never seen her so relaxed in two days

"do you want me to leave" i asked "stay" she spoken, i havent heard her voice in forever but all i heard was pain

i sat on the floor next to her as shark made his way in "hi baby" i say stroking him and kissing his head he plonked himself beside me as river washed her hair

~time skip~

me and river are in the car, shes been more talkative and i can see her glow coming back,

we decided to take shark on a walk and have a talk, it was nice "so university in 3 days" she smiled "im excited, but ill miss you" i didnt want to bring up the last few days

"you sure your ready" i question "its now or never" she smiles i nod and put shark into the back seat

we continue to talk about uni the whole way home "i actually started my book" she smiles "can i read?" "when i release it" she said pushing my knee

she connected her phone to the speaker and played 'More Hearts Than Mine' and sung her heart out

as sat in traffic "if i bring you home to momma i guess i better warn ya, she falls inlove a little faster than i do" she sung as i admired her in awe

"if we break up ill be fine but youll be breaking more hearts than mine" she sung as the vein popped out in her neck, she had an amazing voice but she never uses it to its potential

as we pulled up in the driveway the song ended "perfect timing other wise i wouldve sat in the car and waited" she giggles getting shark out the back seat

"no wonder hes so lazy you carry him everywhere" i laugh

we walked inside and i sung some lyrics with finneas while she typed away.
