the whole house was a mess, i sighed watching billie as she slept admiring her, shes so beautiful
pulling my self out of bed and dreading even taking a step downstairs, but doing so anyway
claudia and finneas asleep on the sofa, the kitchen covered in red solo cups, glass bottles, food wrappers
i started cleaning, putting my air pods in and playing 'male fantasy' black bag after black bag pilled up in the corner of our kitchen
stopping everything i was doing as my phone rang
it was daisy, we havent spoken since billie asked me to marry her, we havent had time and shes been busy with work stuff
"hey baby" i said answering the call "congratulations wifey" i smiled "ive missed you daise" "come over me and marlow miss you" noah has been away for months on a work trip
no matter how long me and daisy dont speak to each other our bond never disappears and im so grateful i have her
i need to show her that more.
heading over to daisies, excited to tell
her everything she doesnt know half of the stuff
since i left for university alot has changed marlow is so big now and i can tell she misses noah
i must be hard for her and yet ive been selfish and i havent even been to see her or even sent her a text to ask how she was
arriving at her door and turning the handle i ran straight up to her "im sorry" i say hugging her tightly
"auntie ri" i heard him say as he ran up to me and hugged my leg
placing a kiss on his head before sitting down "you have to update me, your getting married?" "theres something else which im surprised you havent seen the speech either" i laughed
"we are having a baby" she squealed wrapping me in her warm embrace and holding me "im so happy for you"
her voice cracking "dont cry youll set me off"
we both laughed as she let go of me "how far" "4 weeks" "and you didnt tell me"
"well the pregnancy tests were not showing i was pregnant till yesterday" we smiled "definitely a boy then" she said placing marlow on her knee
"so when does noah get back" "another 2 months, hes been facetiming but its not the same" "i bet he misses use just as much" we both smiled
"ive missed this" "me too" we continue to talk until marlow ran to the door it was billie?
"i thought you had been kidnapped" she said yelling, me and daisy bursting out in laughter i totally forgot to tell her i was leaving
she came behind me kissing the top of my head as marlow clung to her "sorry" i said looking up at her
"next time tell me" she said as she hugged daisy "so having a mothers meeting without me? how rude"
she said squeezing her self between me and daisy as marlow dived onto her
"hey little man" "hey im not little" he said playing with billies chains "so am i invited to the wedding" i looked at her
"i want you to be my bridesmaid of course" she rolled her eyes playfully like she already knew my answer
we spoke for hours just catching up, until we realised it was getting late "dont leave" marlow cried as we hugged daisy at the door
"ill come see you everytime i can" i said picking him up and smothering him in kisses "yuck" he said wrapping his arms around my neck holding me tightly
i cant wait to be a mom.
as i gave him to daisy he cried "i promise ill come back and take you for.." "ice cream" he shouted "see you read my mind"
closing the door behind us
"seriously river dont do that to me, at least text me next time" she said taking my hand in hers as we began to walk down the empty streets
"im sorry, she called and i really missed her" "i know" she says lifting my hand and planting a kiss
"i think we should take a stop" i said getting tired "how about a piggy back" she laughed "im definitely to heavy"
rolling her eyes and proving me wrong of course
i placed my head down on her shoulder and took in the fresh air, what would i do without this girl
