Chapter 47: I Raise My Hand

Mia's POV

*Two Months Later*

"Thanks for coming to help with Kendyll," I told Claire as we walked up to the venue.

"No problem, they're actually really good. Plus, someone needs to watch her while y'all go to town," she said with a smirk and a wink.

"Not going to happen," I laughed.

"That's what you say now. Isn't the saying absence makes the heart grow fonder?"

"Okay, maybe I regret bringing you," I said jokingly.

"Hurtful."

"Mia!" Andy called. I looked to see Andy waving at us from the side of the venue. I smiled and quickened my pace, falling into his open arms. He swallowed Kendyll and I into a large hug, kissing the top of my head. "Oh my god, I missed you guys so much," he said as he held me tightly.

"We missed you too," I said. He let go of me and we shared a short, but passionate kiss. He then grabbed Kendyll from my arms and held her close.

"Oh my god, you've grown so much!" he exclaimed, giving her a big kiss on the forehead.

"Hi Claire," he said.

"Hi Andy," she responded with a smile.

"Let's get to the bus," he said, holding out his hand for me to grab. I laced my fingers with his as we walked to where the bus was parked, Claire following behind us. Andy opened the bus door and let the two of us walk in as he followed behind.

"Mia! Kendyll! Claire!" the guys exclaimed.

"Hi!" I said with a smile.

"Let me see the baby!" CC exclaimed, extending his arms. I just laughed and handed Kendyll to him. He held her close and cooed to her, making her giggle. Claire and I spotted an empty spot on the couch and went to go sit. I was just about to sit when Andy pulled me close to him, grabbed my chin with one hand, and pressed his lips to mine. The kiss ended shortly and I sat down with a small smile.

"Wait," Jake said. I looked around the lounge and noticed all of the guys looked confused.

"We've been dating for 3 months," Andy announced to the guys as he sat in the empty spot next to me.

"FINALLY!" CC shouted, pumping his fist in the air. "Oops, sorry Kendyll," he said, remembering he had a baby in his arms.

"You never told them?" I asked him and he just shook his head. "I figured you'd be screaming from the rooftops that you finally turned me," I laughed.

"I wanted it to be a private victory for a little," he shrugged.

"Mia Biersack has a nice ring to it," CC said.

"Woah Coma, slow down, we're dating."

"Not for long," CC laughed and I rolled my eyes. We sat around and continued talking until we had to go to the venue.

"Oh, wait," Andy said, jumping up and running to the bunks. He came out a few seconds later and raced over to me. He pulled out a pair of pink noise cancelling headphones and placed them over Kendyll's ears. "Perfect!" he said with a satisfied smile. I just smiled and shook my head.

"Dork," I laughed.

"Dork for safety, sure," he responded. I just laughed again as we walked off of the bus. We went into the venue and I sat with Claire in some chairs that were backstage while the guys got ready. We sat and talked as the guys began to emerge one by one. Andy was the last to come out and join everyone else.

He started doing his warm ups, Kendyll watching him with wide eyes. He noticed and held out his arms. I handed her over to him and he held her in his arms as he continued his warm ups. A smile spread across her face and she started giggling at the noises he was making.

He held her and played with her until it was time for the band to take the stage. He handed her to me and gave me a kiss before standing on the side of the stage. He ran out, the crowd going crazy.

As I sat and watched the band perform, I remembered the last time I saw them, which was also the first time. I remembered the fight I had with my dad and the bad head space I was in. I remembered feeling a sense of pride watching Andy move around the stage and interact with the crowd. I remembered seeing how happy Andy was when he was on stage. I looked down at Kendyll and felt a smile creep onto my face.

That feeling of pride was still the same. If anything, it was increased after seeing how amazing of a dad Andy is. Andy is truly going to do everything in his power to ensure our daughter is loved and believes in herself.

I thought back to the sessions I've had with my therapist over the last three months. I have grown so much since working with my therapist and have noticed a change in myself. I'm more confident and I trust my decision making. I'm more sure of my role as a mom and as a girlfriend. If I wasn't sure about my relationship with Andy before tonight, watching him on stage made me more sure than ever. I loved this man, and he needed to know.

Halfway through In The End, Andy rushed over and held out his arms. I passed Kendyll to him and he took her out on stage, dancing with her as he sang.

"Thank you Los Angeles!" he cheered into the mic as he ran off. He gave Kendyll a kiss on the cheek before handing her back to me.

"That was amazing!" I exclaimed as I hugged his sweaty body. I pulled back and gave him a strong kiss.

"Thanks," he said with a smile.

***

Andy was walking Claire and I back to the car. He had Kendyll rested on his hip, and his free hand was laced with mine. We got to the car and Claire got in the passenger seat, starting up the car with the keys I had given her. Andy said his goodbyes to Kendyll, including smothering her with kisses.

"I know I'm only going to be gone for another week, but it doesn't make this goodbye any easier," he said as he gave her a big hug. "Do you mind if I strap her in?" he asked and I shook my head. He opened the backseat and strapped her into her car seat.

"Daddy loves you and he'll see you real soon," he said to our daughter, giving her one last kiss before closing the door. He then turned his attention to me and we shared a big hug, followed by a kiss.

"Thank you for coming out and bringing Kendyll. It means a lot and I missed you guys so much," he said. My arms were wrapped around his neck and his hands were gripping my hips.

"I love watching you perform Andy, I'd go on tour with you if I could," I laughed.

"Oh, that'd be the dream," he said with a smile.

"I love you Andy," I said as I looked into his bright blue eyes. His eyes lit up as he tried to process what I just said.

"W-What?" he asked. I'm sure he just wanted to hear me say it again.

"I love you Andy," I repeated. He lifted me off my feet and spun me around, causing me to giggle and cling tightly to him. He placed me back down on my feet and gripped my face with his hands as he passionately kissed me. We broke the kiss after a few seconds and went back to looking into each other's eyes.

"I love you too Mia, so much," he said, as he grinned from ear to ear.

"I'll see you in a week?" I asked.

"In a week," he confirmed with a nod. He gave me another kiss before he let go of me. I forced myself to walk closer to the car before I never left him. I said one more goodbye before getting into the car.

"He seemed pretty happy for you to leave," Claire commented.

"I told him that I loved him," I said softly.

"Ohmygodohmygodohmygod!" Claire panicked as she smacked my arm repeatedly, trying not to scare Kendyll. I just smiled, reliving the moment in my head as I wished he was still near me.
