"Sorry," someone said as she walked up to me. The rainbow puke kid— er... Urkaraka walked up to me, yes. "I was wondering, could you maybe... help me out with training?"I looked around. "You're asking me?"
"Well... yes!" Uraraka nodded. "I realised that... that combat isn't just easy to learn. It's much harder than it looks, and I need to start learning it now if I want to preform well in the sports festival. Can you please teach me how to fight!?"
The half empty classroom turned to look at us.
I blinked twice.
"Sure...?""Thank you!" Uraraka said genuinely, "Let's start right now!"
"Now?"
"Yes! If you don't mind that of course."
I sighed, "I'll text my dad I'll be home later."
—
We stood on a field. Uraraka wasn't clumsy. The only reason she hadn't been practicing combat was really naivety towards it. Or something like that. She was so kind, she wanted to become a rescue hero. Of course you had to fight for that too, which she realised at USJ.
"Like this?" Uraraka adjusted her pose like I had told her too.
"Yes, like that," I nodded, "Now you should be able to shift your weight much easier. For dodging that's crucial."
"Is it different?" Uraraka asked suddenlu, "Fighting with a tail?"
I thought about it. "A little," I decided, "But I can adjust to it rather easily."
"That's amazing," Uraraka complimented, "Do you have a lot of experience with fighting?"
"More than most," I shrugged, thinking about it now, "I've been slacking off ever since Aizawa got me away from it."
"Away from...?"
"Abuse," I frowned before shaking my head, "It's fine now though." Memories crowded my mind. What couldn't I stop thinking about it? One moment ago I had it suppressed still!
"Oh, I'm sorry for prying," Uraraka said quickly, "I'm glad you're okay now."
Yeah... why did I tell her in the first place? Was I over sharing? Was it a bad thing to say such things?Recalling the feeling of hot iron against my skin, I nodded. "Yeah, me too."
We continued training, and Uraraka tried to cheer me up.
Somehow we were suddenly giggling at every silly thing, and we were actually having a great time.I found Aizawa walking passed suddenly. He waved a little, hiding his smile behind his scarf.
Yikes, he had seen... oh well. It's nothing embarrassing I hope. We were just training...
Eventually we walked to the bus stop together, still talking about random things.
On the bus I felt the smile lasting a little.
Honestly... I had fun.—
At home I greeted Mic. He was doing paperwork, of course.
"What do you want for dinner?" He asked.
"Er..." my mind gave a blank, "Eighty five, answer C."
"Wrong, it was answer D."
"Damn," I threw my bag on one of the kitchen chairs, "Should I go make something?"
"No, I can do that," Mic said, "I was just wondering wether you have a preference."
Really? Wait— that's how it works— crap, my head really went back a few months...
"...fish.""Of course," Mic smiled, "We'll eat something with that then. Do you have much homework?"
Thinking about it, I frowned. "Can I skip English homework?"
"Sorry little listener, that's a no."
"That's disappointing."
It was safe to say that when Aizawa finally came home, I jumped on his lap for a nap. I was so tired!
"How is homework going?" Mic dared to ask at dinner.
"Hitoshi, did you finish yours?" I asked and he nodded halfway, meaning he was halfway finished.
"Okay then," I turned to mic, "My homework is nearly finished, I just have to write down the answers.""You're not gonna copy my homework again!"
"Again?" Mic repeated, "Come on guys! Homework isn't supposed to—"
"Don't be angry at me," Hitoshi held up his hands, "She copies my homework."
"And you copy mine," I pointed out.
"You didn't have to drop that fact," Hitoshi grumbled.
"Both of you!" Mic lectured about the importance of homework. You had to make sure you understood what happened in class! Or something like that, I wasn't listening.
Instead of taking another nap, I went to make homework. If it were up to me, I'd have taken a nap though. Aizawa forced us to sit in the living room so he could see us do our homework.
This of course, meant we both had to make homework, which sucked. However, it also meant we got snacks!
The food made it worth it.And so I was handling my training, my classes and my vigilante life all together!
It was never boring. And it was fun.
But I did miss something.
I dunno what I missed, life was perfect right now.Oh well, I'd see what was wrong when it presented itself properly.
