"We were worried sick!" Mic lectured that morning. I sat tiredly, not really listening. My mind was on other things.
Kurogiri... what was he? I knew he was an experiment, but it worried me a little.
He wasn't acting like a Nomu, he was acting like... human, but emptier.
He didn't smell like a human either. He missed that... humanity."Understand?" Mic finished.
I looked up.
"Er..."Hitoshi nodded from behind Mic, so I nodded towards Mic.
Mic glared at me as Hitoshi held in his giggles.
"Wha—" I glanced around confused as Aizawa hid his smile.
"You just agreed to do all of Hitoshi's homework."
Aizawa explained for me."Huh?" I frowned.
"Maybe if you were actually listening, you'd get it!" Mic got up, "You're grounded!"
My ears flapped back against my head.
Aizawa gave me a glance and I felt my heartbeat speed up.Grounded.
There we go, this is it.
Mic was already standing, looming over me.This is where it starts. I felt myself tense up as Mic moved. Everyone's eyes were on me, taunting or not, they weren't good, I didn't like it.
Mic raised his arm and...
He softly put his hand on my head.
I looked up, the spell breaking as I noticed nobody but Mic really looked at me just then.
"Sorry for being so hard on you, but you gotta understand. When you say back at twelve AM, we want you back at twelve AM. You can't have us worry too much."I stared down at the table.
"Sorry.""It's fine," Mic assured, "Though, you're still grounded."
—
"Hosu city," I realised as I paused my walk. My phone was bright in my face as the news articles scrolled passed. It made sense.
Three AM was nearing, I had to go home soon, but... I had to tell him first! The lights of the city rushed passed me as I ran back to where I had left Shigaraki in an alley.
"Hosu city," I repeated, now out loud. In all fairness,
"How did you know?" Shigaraki asked me just before I left the alley."There's always multiple targets in the same city," I explained, "It's rather obvious if you just look at the news."
Shigaraki walked up to me and suddenly put his hand on my head, without one of his fingers.
"Good job."I saw the chance and hurried to give him a hug.
Too random.
I let go and turned around, leaving Shigaraki rather shocked.
Let's pretend like that never happened.—
"(Y/n)," Uraraka said at school. I raised my head from where I had been lying on my desk. "Want to eat lunch with us?"
"Hitoshi," I gave him a glare, "Go eat lunch with the others. I'm too tired to socialise today."
Hitoshi only sighed at me. Such a meany.
—
"(Y/n), hurry, Aizawa's waiting on us." Hitoshi said at the end of the days that followed.
"I can't move, I'm too tired." I complained.
"I'll have to get recovery girl then..." Hitoshi grinned. My eyes widened and I sat up, grabbing my bag and preparing to leave.
Nothing against recovery girl, but she'd pull my tail and tell me to sleep in a bed. Eight full hours, she'd say, but like, nobody does that!
