It was another long day. At the end of it, I escaped having to making dinner and curled up on a couch inside. I hated how I was so used to getting a lot of sleep and food now, though... it was nice to eat a belly full every meal. I even got stronger because of the amount of food I got.The sun trailed onto my face and I took a well needed nap.
"Don't wake up," a young voice said, waking me up of course.
I opened my eyes slowly to find Kota putting a plate of food on the coffee table in front of me.
"Thanks," I mumbled as I forced myself to wake up. The sun was gone, probably setting considering the feint orange glow in the room.
"M—Mandalay told me too..." Kota tried, but I smiled, betraying that I knew she didn't and Kota had come here on his own.
"It's okay," I said.
Silence fell as I slowly sat up.
Kota glanced at the door, probably wondering if he could rush off yet.
"You hate heroes right?" I said as I picked up the plate of food.
Kota glared at me balling his fist.
"I totally get it," I grabbed the fork next to it and took a bite, "My dad used to hit me, and nobody saved me. Dickhead, right?"
Kota frowned now as he looked a me. Maybe this was too bold of a conversation starter...
"Aizawa ended up saving me. So there's hope, I guess. There's so many shitty people..." I took another bite before I said it, "But there's good people too. It takes time to see what is what."
The silence buzzed as Kota gave me a glare. "I'm not gonna like heroes."
"You don't have to," I said between bites, "Just be nice to Mandalay. She cares for you."
As I ate, Kota glanced at the door again, and then he left.
I finished my food before I went to hand my plate back.
Just in time too, they were just about to start a new game.—
"Spooky," someone from 1B said.
"But we'll be the ones scaring class 1A first!" Someone else from 1B said.
I sighed and put the plate down, not yet clean. I could wash it later... I knew I probably wouldn't even be here later, but I couldn't get distracted now.
In casual clothes I walked to the edge of the forest. A hoodie... stuff I could move in.
We got put into groups of two. Of course I was with Bakugo. Aizawa gave me a stern look. I nodded, yes dad, it would be fine... I hope.
A lot could happen, and a lot could go wrong. Either way I'd try my best! The night seemed to get darker as the game started. As one of the first people, me and Bakugo would walk inside the forest. Class 1B would be there too. Hopefully me and Bakugo would be back before the attack would start though, it would be safest... though... the least efficient outcome for sure.
I walked next to Bakugo, trying to not be scared of every outcome possible. What if he got hurt? He would get hurt... yikes...
"You look nervous," Bakugo pointed out, a teasing grin on his face.
I sighed and crossed my arms. He had no clue what was about to happen. He was teasing me! So mean. "I'm not."
Suddenly someone's head rose from the mud.
I let out a scream, hiding behind Bakugo as my claws appeared, along with my ears and tail.
Bakugo laughed as I slowly realised that hadn't been part of the attack. That was just 1B scaring us... how embarrassing.
