A/n: Sorry for the wait, but I'm here with a new chapter! Have a waffle along with it!
(^-^)v🧇
—Waffle"I'm fine..." I picked myself up from where my head had been lying on the desk.
I was so unreasonably tired! How?
Wait...
"You're not used to staying up all night anymore," Hitoshi smiled teasingly.
"Have I gone soft...?"
It seemed unrealistic, but logical all together. Should I be harder on myself? I should. I shouldn't slack off!Lunch was alright. Hitoshi finally sat with us, but only because he beat Todoroki's ass and they somehow became buddies... or something like that.
"Hey, (y/n)," Midoryia gave me a smile, "What internship have you chosen?"
I looked at my food.
"Hey, I'm not hungry..." getting up, I grabbed my stuff and left, leaving behind my food.
What internship...
I walked to the rooftop. Opening the door, I walked to the edge and looked down.
Mom wanted me to have opertunities.
At the orphanage...
People had only really wanted me because of my cat quirk... right?Nobody liked me for me...
Mic hated me...
He should anyway.
I never really bothered to ask him wether he cared. I never bothered to speak to him at all. Shouldn't I deserve being quirkless?Hitoshi only really interacted me when I was a cat... I think. He's been acting different towards me lately... more distant.
And Aizawa.
Why did he ask me to live with him in the first place?
Why would he care wether I stepped over the edge or not?"Hey," someone spoke behind me.
I turned around with a glare.
"What?""Just gonna sit here."
I blinked twice at the student.
What a bitch.
If they were there I couldn't actually...Oh.
It's what they meant to do, isn't it?
Sitting here so I couldn't do anything like that.Whoever that student was... well, whatever.
Maybe I'd try some other day.—
At hero training that afternoon, I lost to the other team completely.
I sighed at it, just being so fucking tired.
"(Y/n)," All Might said at the end of class, "Are you alright? You weren't preforming at your best—"
"I'm fine," I huffed. "Everyone's just gotten better in comparison."
"If only," Uraraka sighed, "I'm thinking about choosing an internship where I can learn to fight instead of something to do with rescue."
I looked at her in surprise.
"Didn't you want to be a rescue hero?""Well..." Uraraka smiled, "You can't be a hero with only one trick!"
Whoa.
Quoting Aizawa.
What a nerd."What internship are you thinking of?" Midoryia asked me not long after that.
"I dunno yet," I said honestly, "I don't know how I got even one recommendation."
"That's what I was wondering about too," Kirishima gave me a strange look, "How did you get so much recommendations?"
"Yeah, you only got to the first part!"
I nervously shrugged. "Hitoshi will tell you."
"Don't pull me into this—"
"Tell us! Tell us!" Mina begged, pressing her face towards Hitoshi who sat back to avoid her.
Hitoshi sighed. "(Y/n) knows a ton of heroes."
"Er—"
"Can you introduce me to some?" Midoryia said quickly, "What hero's do you know? Which quirks—"
"Come on!" I huffed, "I don't know any heroes personally or anything! Except for a few maybe."
"Hawks never caused you to be grounded then?" Hitoshi taunted.
"The number four!?" Some students around us deadpanned.
"Oh come on, you're all acting like a number makes someone a god." I crossed my arms as my tail swished behind me, "Hawks really is just a chicken—"
"Hah!?" Bakugo shouted, "That's the number four—"
"Oh shut up!" I shouted back as I jumped up, "That's my entire point! It's just a number!!"
Bakugo got up. "He earned that number dammit!!"
"By doing what? Annoying citizens why helping them cross the road?"
"He's a hero dammit!!"
"Stop cursing!!"
"Shut up Iida!!" Me and Bakugo shouted together before we glanced at each other with dislike.
"Both can shout, huh..." Kaminari muttered, "So scary. Who do you think is the loudest?"
Hitoshi shrugged, saying they should test it sometime.—
"Dad, I'm going out," I said that evening, "I'll be back by three."
"Hold on, I'll grab my stuff—" Aizawa grabbed his scarf.
"No," I shook my head, "I'll go out by myself."
I couldn't have him walking into the league's place, I think."If you're in the middle of an investigation, let me help—"
"No, dad," I shook my head, "They know your face. It'll be death for the both of us. Just let me go out."
Aizawa stared at me.
"Take your brother."I stared at him confused. Him?
Wait that sounds mean.
"No.""Hitoshi!" Aizawa called out. His door opened after a few seconds and he glared at us both.
"Go with your sister on—""I've got homework." His door closed again.
I shrugged, taking the good old sarcasm from wherever I left it. "So sad. I'll have to go all alone—"
"If your not back by twelve you're grounded." Aizawa said harshly.
I paused.
"Alright..."Outside I started walking. I helped out Shigaraki, I had a talk with Kurogiri about what internship I should take, and I beat up a ton of villains.
Shigaraki and me had honestly thrown some jokes around. I found myself smiling and it was kinda strange.Once I got back it was late, of course it was.
Aizawa would probably ground me now...
