It has been a while since Y/n's last talk with Wong. As per his advice, she has been paying more attention to any changes to her powers. She also noticed that he has been checking her condition more frequently as well with nothing much to say to her afterwards. This didn't confirm the worst for her, nor did it clear the air. She went looking for him with questions at the ready, eager to understand what was going on so she could solve whatever it was, once and for all.

She strolled the halls, admiring the place as she made her way to where she knew she would find him. She pushed a set of large doors and was greeted by the distinctive smell of old books that lingered in the cool air of the library. In the middle of the large room was a big wooden table, where Y/n had spotted Wong who was half-hidden between a few piles of various reading materials, his brows furrowed deep with thought as he went back and forth between some scrolls and books.

Y/n smirked as an idea struck her. She quietly made her way to one of the big shelves, using it as cover as she sneaked closer. She decided to peek before making her move but was confused to find her target missing.

"What are you up to?" Wong's voice called out from behind Y/n suddenly, causing her to jump.

"Oh my god!" Y/n gasped as she turned to look at him before laughing nervously. "How did you–"

"How did I what, know you were here? Or how did I sneak around you? You're not the only one with tricks around here, you know."

Y/n opened her mouth to reply but gave up quickly after. Wong gave her a look that clearly meant 'I thought so' before taking a book off the shelf and making his way back to the table with it as Y/n trailed along quietly behind him.

"And may I know why you're following me like a lost puppy?"

"What? I'm not following you. I'm just...looking around." Y/n retorted, walking away from Wong. She went to a nearby shelf and scanned through the titles, taking a random book out. She opened it and flipped through the pages, curious at what reading materials sorcerers and sorceresses would have access to. "What are these? Spells?"

"Some of them, yes," Wong replied, scribbling something down.

Y/n looked at him, surprised at his answer. "So you guys just have spell books lying around here for anyone to read? Isn't that kinda dangerous?"

"These books are not merely reading materials. The spells are to be studied. And of course we keep the more advanced and 'controversial' books away from inexperienced hands."

Y/n nodded as she kept looking at the content of the book she held, the illustrations on some of the pages piquing her interest. "Do you think I can do any of these?"

"Depends. Can you 'do' magic?" Wong asked back without looking up at her.

"Touché," Y/n admitted under her breath. She closed the book and placed it back on the shelf before approaching the large table. "Any reading material you can suggest for a muggle like me?" Y/n questioned, lazily looking at the titles of some of the books around him.

"Muggle, huh? Very funny," Wong shot back and he noticed the surprised questioning look on Y/n's face. "What? I know things outside of this place too."

"Things? Sure," Y/n laughed. "I know you do. So..." she hid a smile as Wong sighed, waiting to hear what she had to say next. "Does that mean I can call you...a wizard? You're a wizard, Wong," Y/n spoke in a gruff voice before she chuckled.

"Please don't," Wong closed his eyes as he shook his head. He heard the sound of ruffling paper around him.

"Phew... Now this looks advanced," Y/n whistled as she sat opposite Wong, slightly intimidated by the reading material he picked up. "What's with all the studying?"
