A few days later

I was staring at the ring on my finger. I couldn't stop smiling. We were now officially husband and wife. Again.

We had been at the courthouse yesterday and signed the papers. So now he was mine. Forever. And I was his. Forever.

I could hear a small chuckle next to me and I looked up at the driver's seat "for how long are you gonna stare at it?" He asked me

"Forever... I can't believe I'm Park Jimins wife" I said a little bit dramatic gaining a laugh from him.

I shifted in my seat, still unable to tear my gaze from the ring. It sparkled in the sunlight, a symbol of everything we had overcome to get to this moment.

"You're going to wear a hole in that thing if you keep staring at it" he teased, glancing at me with a playful smile that always made my heart flutter.

"I can't help it. This ring means the world to me."

"I should have bought a bigger ring......" Jimins expression softens, his eyes sparkling with sincerity.

"Stop it." I cut him off. "This ring is perfect..."

"It's simple... I'll get you another one."

"And I like simple. I don't want you buying another ring. I love this one."

I leaned over and kissed his cheek. "Stop distracting me when I'm driving." He smiled, his cheeks slightly pink.

"How are you feeling?" He asked me softly after the car came to a stop. His hand was resting on my thigh calming down slightly.

"Nervous... and also a bit excited..." I replied, my voice a mix of anticipation and anxiety. It had been almost two years I last saw the old couple who had taken me in after everything. They had cared for me when I had lost my memory, treating me like their own daughter.

"It's gonna be great, love. I'll be right by your side."

"Thank you. I really appreciate that you came with me" I smiled at him

"I would have come even if you said no" I chuckled "I'll never leave you on your own... ever again"

"Let's go..." I said and unbuckled my seatbelt and got out of the car.

Jimin got out and then opened the backseat as I looked around the unfamiliar place. A small local store in was front of us and next to it were small vintage houses. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Only few people were out walking and they all looked at us with judging looks. It was a small village so I guess if you're an outsider you'll probably be the talk of the village.

"So..." Jimin said as he held a sleeping Felix in his arms "where to?"

"I don't know." I said looking up at him.

"You don't know?" He asked as if he wasn't sure if he heard me right. But I just shook my head.

"I just know it's in this village but I don't know exactly where they live. I've never been to their house."

"Oh Y/n..." he sighed and then looked around before looking back at me. It was silence and I could tell he wanted to say something but held himself back.

"Just say it."

"Say what?"

"I don't know. But I can tell that you want to say something but don't. So just say what you were gonna say."

"I wasn't gonna say anything. Now let's head into the store and ask the cashier. They probably know them"

He grabbed my hand before I could even get to say anything and led me into the store.
