Summary Professor Umbrigde Threat to get Lola expelled from Hogwarts if she didnt leave the baby in the common room then Lola Threat to get her father to fire her

It had been almost a year since Raven had joined Lola and Mattheo back at Hogwarts. Raven was now a lively one-and-a-half-year-old, constantly curious and exploring the world around her. Her laughter had become a familiar sound in the castle, and while it wasn’t always easy to juggle being a mother and a student, Lola had settled into a routine. Mattheo was always by her side, and they made it work.

But not everyone was happy about Raven’s presence.

Professor Umbridge had made it clear from the very beginning that she didn’t approve of a baby being brought into Hogwarts. She’d made countless passive-aggressive comments, but lately, her disapproval had turned into something far more direct—and far more dangerous.

It was late afternoon, and Lola had just finished her last class of the day. Raven was with her, snuggled in her arms, still too young to walk or talk much but always bright-eyed and inquisitive. They were walking toward the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom for their next lesson when they were intercepted.

Professor Umbridge stood at the entrance, her eyes narrowed as she surveyed Lola and Raven. A smug smile curled at her lips.

"Miss Malfoy," Umbridge began, her voice dripping with condescension, "I trust you're aware that your... child is a disturbance in my classroom. I've already spoken to you about the inappropriateness of bringing a baby into this institution. It's a distraction to the students and an obstruction to your studies."

Lola stopped dead in her tracks, clutching Raven tighter against her chest. "Professor, I've been through this before. Raven stays with me."

"I’m afraid that won't be acceptable this time," Umbridge continued, her voice growing sharper. "If you insist on bringing her to class, I’ll have no choice but to take further action. I will have you expelled for disregarding the rules of this school. We cannot allow a baby to disrupt the learning environment any longer."

Lola’s breath caught in her throat. Expelled? The thought of losing her place at Hogwarts, of being torn away from Mattheo and the only home she had ever known, was enough to send a cold wave of panic through her. But the fear quickly turned into something else—a deep, unrelenting anger.

She had worked so hard to be here, to prove she could be both a student and a mother. She wasn’t going to let Umbridge, of all people, take that away from her.

Lola took a step forward, her eyes locking onto Umbridge’s. "You think you can expel me because I’m a mother?" she asked, her voice calm but laced with a quiet fury. "You have no idea what I’ve been through, what I’ve sacrificed to be here. Raven stays with me, and there’s nothing you can do about it."

Umbridge’s expression faltered for a brief moment, but she quickly recovered. "I am a professor here, Miss Malfoy, and I will not tolerate insubordination in my class. If you refuse to comply, I will ensure that your future at this school is cut short."

Lola’s eyes narrowed. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest, but she forced herself to remain steady. "You think I’m afraid of being expelled?" she asked, her voice now colder, more confident. "If you think I’ll just roll over and accept this, you’re gravely mistaken."

She looked down at Raven, who was now awake and staring up at her with wide, innocent eyes. "Raven’s future is just as important as mine. And I won’t let anyone—especially you—take that from us."

Umbridge’s face flushed with anger, her hands clenched tightly at her sides. "You are not in a position to make threats, Miss Malfoy. You will leave this class immediately, and if you do not, I will report your insubordination to the Headmistress and have you expelled."

Lola didn’t back down. She knew exactly what she had to do.

"You want me to leave?" she said, her voice cutting through the tension like a knife. "Then you’ll have to explain to my father why his daughter was expelled from this school for having a child. And when he hears that you tried to punish me for being a mother—"

Lola paused, letting the weight of her words sink in. She didn’t need to say more. The name "Malfoy" carried weight enough on its own.

Umbridge’s face paled slightly, but she quickly recovered, her lips curling into a tight smile. "You wouldn’t dare, Miss Malfoy."

"Oh, I would," Lola said, her eyes never leaving Umbridge’s. "And if you force my hand, I’ll make sure my father hears every detail of how you harassed a student for choosing to care for her child. He’ll make sure you’re out of this school before you can blink."

The threat hung in the air, heavy and undeniable. Umbridge may have been in a position of power at Hogwarts, but Lola knew just how far her father’s influence stretched. Lucius Malfoy was a man who could crush an opponent with a word, and Lola had no qualms about using that power if it meant protecting her family.

Umbridge’s lips trembled, and for the first time since the confrontation began, she seemed uncertain. She opened her mouth to say something, but no words came out. Instead, she took a step back, her eyes flickering toward Raven, then back to Lola.

"You... you think you can get away with this?" she hissed.

Lola’s eyes never wavered. "I don’t think I can. I know I can."

For a long moment, the two women stood in silence, the tension between them thick enough to cut with a knife. Then, with a sharp inhale, Umbridge turned on her heel, her heels clicking sharply against the stone floor as she stormed off down the corridor.

Lola stood there for a moment, still holding Raven close, her pulse still racing. But the moment Umbridge was out of sight, she let out the breath she had been holding, feeling a wave of relief wash over her.

"You okay?" Mattheo appeared beside her, concern etched on his face.

Lola nodded, her expression still hard but her heart beginning to slow. "I’m fine. But she won’t be bothering us again. Not if I have anything to say about it."

Mattheo smiled faintly, his eyes filled with pride. "That was amazing, Lola."

Lola shook her head, looking down at Raven, who was staring up at her with those innocent blue eyes. "It’s not just about me, Mattheo. It’s about Raven. I won’t let anyone make her feel like she’s a burden or a disruption."

They both stood in the corridor for a moment, the weight of the confrontation still hanging in the air. But Lola knew she had made the right choice. She wasn’t going to let anything—especially not someone like Umbridge—get in the way of her family.

Raven was her responsibility, and she would fight for her no matter what.
