Age 10

Summary: Draco go asked his sister for help.
Draco never liked asking for help.
It wasn’t in his nature. He was a Malfoy. He was supposed to have all the answers, always be in control.
But tonight, standing outside his sister’s door, he felt utterly lost.
With a sigh, he knocked once before pushing the door open.
Lola was sitting on her bed, a book in her lap, but she looked up immediately. Her eyes narrowed. “What happened?”
Draco hesitated.
Lola sighed, closing her book. “Sit.”
He did. Because she was the only person he trusted enough to be honest with.
“I fought with Pansy,” he muttered.
Lola raised a brow. “Your first fight?”
Draco scoffed. “No. But… our first real one.”
Lola leaned forward. “What was it about?”
Draco exhaled. “The baby.”
She didn’t say anything—just waited.
Draco ran a hand through his hair. “She thinks I don’t care.”
Lola tilted her head. “And do you?”
Draco stiffened. “Of course I do.”
“Then why does she think otherwise?”
He opened his mouth—then closed it.
Lola’s expression softened. “Dray… are you scared?”
Draco glanced away.
He hated admitting it.
But…
“Yes,” he finally whispered.
Lola reached over and took his hand. “Of what?”
Draco swallowed. “Losing them.”
The words felt too raw, too real.
Lola squeezed his hand. “You won’t.”
“You don’t know that,” Draco muttered.
Lola sighed. “No, I don’t. But I do know that pushing Pansy away isn’t going to stop bad things from happening. It’ll just make you lose her sooner.”
Draco winced.
Lola nudged him. “You love her, right?”
He didn’t hesitate. “Yes.”
“Then act like it,” Lola said simply. “Tell her how you feel. Let her in, Draco. She’s not asking you to be perfect. She’s just asking you to be there.”
Draco took a deep breath.
Lola was right.
And for once, he was going to listen.
