Summary: Lola, Matheo, and Draco are all arguing about Raven if she should go back to Hogwarts or stay home so they can keep an eye on her
Raven sat curled up on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, pretending not to hear the argument happening just a few feet away. She could feel the tension in the room like a physical force, pressing down on her as her family fought over what to do with her.
“She’s not going back to Hogwarts,” Mattheo snapped, pacing furiously. His hands were clenched into fists, his jaw tight with barely contained frustration. “Did you see what happened last night? She almost died!”
“And what do you expect us to do, Mattheo?” Lola shot back, arms crossed, her own frustration bubbling to the surface. “Keep her locked in this house forever? That’s not a solution! She needs to be at Hogwarts.”
“She needs to be safe,” Mattheo countered, his voice rising. “And right now, Hogwarts isn’t safe for her.”
Draco, who had been silently listening, finally spoke. “Neither is this house,” he said coolly, his sharp gaze flicking between them. “In case you’ve both forgotten, whatever is happening to Raven—it’s following her. It doesn’t matter where she is.”
Mattheo whirled around. “So what? We just send her back to Hogwarts and hope for the best?”
Draco narrowed his eyes. “No, we find out what’s happening to her. Keeping her here won’t fix the problem, and we both know it.”
Raven clenched the blanket tighter around her shoulders. Her heart was pounding, her breath shaky. She hated this—hated being the reason they were all fighting.
“Has it ever occurred to any of you,” she muttered, her voice small but sharp enough to cut through the argument, “that maybe I should have a say in this?”
The room fell silent.
Three pairs of eyes turned to her.
Raven slowly sat up, her violet eyes flicking between them. “I’m the one dealing with this. I’m the one who almost died. But all I hear is you three yelling about what you think is best.”
Lola opened her mouth, but Raven shook her head. “No. I need to say this.” She swallowed hard, her voice thick with frustration and fear. “I want to go back to Hogwarts. I don’t want to sit here waiting for something else to happen. I want to be normal.”
Mattheo ran a hand through his hair, his expression torn. “Raven…”
“I know you’re scared,” she continued, her voice softer now. “So am I. But staying here won’t change anything.”
Draco nodded slightly, looking at her with something almost like pride. “She’s right.”
Mattheo exhaled sharply, looking away. His fists clenched at his sides before he finally sighed in defeat. “Fine,” he muttered. “But if anything happens—**anything at all—**I’m pulling her out. No arguments.”
Lola gave Raven a soft, hesitant smile. “We’ll figure this out. Together.”
Raven nodded, but deep down, she wasn’t sure if anyone could fix what was happening to her.
