Summary Scorpius snuck into Rose's room to cuddle her because he felt lonely

The Malfoy Manor was silent. The only sounds were the distant howling wind outside and the occasional creak of the old house settling. Everyone was asleep… or at least, most people were.

Scorpius laid in his room, staring at the ceiling. He couldn't sleep. It wasn’t that he was uncomfortable—his bed was practically royalty-level luxurious. No, the real problem was that he was alone.

And he hated being alone.

With a sigh, he threw off his blanket and quietly got up. He knew exactly where he wanted to go.

Rose’s room was just down the hall, right next to Albus’s, which meant he had to be extra careful. If Raven found out he was sneaking around, she’d never let him live it down.

Tiptoeing across the hall, he reached Rose’s door and slowly turned the handle. The door creaked slightly, making him freeze. He held his breath, waiting to see if anyone heard.

Silence.

He smirked. Too easy.

Once inside, he saw Rose curled up under her blankets, her red hair sprawled across the pillow. She looked peaceful. Scorpius felt guilty for waking her up, but he needed this.

Carefully, he lifted the covers and slid into bed next to her. The warmth immediately calmed him.

Rose stirred slightly. “Mmm… what are you doing?” she mumbled sleepily.

Scorpius hesitated, then whispered, “I just… didn’t want to be alone.”

Rose turned toward him, her blue eyes half-open. She studied his face for a moment before sighing softly and scooting closer. “You’re lucky I like you,” she murmured.

Scorpius smirked. “I know.”

She rolled her eyes but wrapped her arms around him anyway, letting him bury his face in the crook of her neck. “Go to sleep, Malfoy.”

He closed his eyes, finally feeling at peace. “Only if you do, Weasley.”

And for the first time that night, Scorpius didn’t feel alone.
