Summary: Raven gets in trouble for being in the woods.
Lola's feet barely touched the ground as she sprinted toward the Forbidden Forest, her heart pounding so loudly she could hear it in her ears.
“RAVEN!” she screamed, her voice echoing through the trees.
No answer.
The forest was dense and dark, even in the daylight. The towering trees blocked out the sun, casting long shadows across the uneven ground.
Panic clawed at her chest. She couldn't lose her again.
Mattheo was right behind her, his wand drawn, his breathing heavy. “She can’t have gone far.”
Lola’s stomach churned. “She shouldn’t have gone at all!”
A faint rustling came from deeper in the forest.
Then—
A giggle.
Lola’s head snapped toward the sound, her grip on her wand tightening.
“Raven!” she yelled again, her voice sharper this time. “You are in so much trouble!”
Another laugh, but this time… it was different.
Mattheo froze beside her. “That’s not her.”
Lola’s breath hitched.
The realization sent a cold chill down her spine.
She took another step forward, her wand raised—just in time to see movement between the trees.
Something—or someone—was watching them.
And Raven was nowhere in sight.
