Summary: Raven heard a high pitch scream and collapsed then her stomach was bleeding
The library was quiet—until the scream echoed through the walls.
A high-pitched, inhuman wail.
It ripped through Raven’s skull like a dagger, piercing deep into her brain, sending shockwaves of agony through her body. She barely had time to react before her knees buckled, her vision blurred, and she collapsed onto the stone floor.
“Raven!” Rose was the first to react, dropping beside her.
But something was wrong.
A searing burn spread across Raven’s stomach—hot, sharp, unbearable. When she gasped, the pain only intensified.
Then Rose saw it.
A dark red stain blooming against Raven’s uniform.
Her stomach was bleeding.
“Shit,” Rose muttered, her hands shaking as she reached for Raven’s shirt. “Something’s happening—I need to see—”
She barely hesitated before unbuttoning Raven’s shirt, pushing the fabric aside to find the wound.
Across the room, Albus and Scorpius both turned away instantly.
Albus covered his face with one hand. “Merlin, again?!”
Scorpius groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Why does this keep happening?”
Rose snapped her head up. “Seriously?! Our friend is literally bleeding out and you two are worried about being gentlemen?”
“YES!” they shouted at the same time.
“Bloody useless, both of you,” Rose grumbled before focusing back on Raven.
What she saw made her stomach drop.
A deep gash ran across Raven’s stomach—but there was no knife. No weapon. No reason for her to be bleeding. It was as if something invisible had sliced through her.
Raven whimpered, barely conscious. “What’s… happening to me…?”
Rose’s grip on her tightened. “I don’t know. But we’re going to figure it out.”
She turned her head sharply. “Albus! Scorpius! Stop being useless and go get help—now!”
The two boys scrambled out of the library, their discomfort immediately replaced by panic.
Rose swallowed hard, keeping pressure on the wound, her mind racing.
Whatever was happening to Raven wasn’t normal.
And she had a terrible feeling… this was only the beginning.
