Summary Scorpius and Rose started dating behind Raven's back until Raven saw them kiss
It had been a few weeks since the intense conversation where Raven, Albus, Scorpius, and Rose had all laid their feelings out on the table. Though it wasn’t easy, things had started to settle, and Raven had been doing her best to handle everything that was happening with her relationship and the challenges she faced.
But one afternoon, while walking to the library, Raven stumbled upon something she wasn’t expecting. She was walking down a hallway when she saw Scorpius and Rose standing near the window at the end of the corridor, their voices low, but still audible.
“Scorpius, are you sure about this?” Rose asked, her voice soft but with a note of uncertainty.
Scorpius, looking around to make sure no one was watching, nodded. “Yeah, I think this is right. I don’t want to keep hiding it, Rose. We’ve been through a lot, and I think we deserve this. We just have to be careful around Raven. She’s been through so much already.”
Raven’s heart skipped a beat, her hand instinctively going to her chest as the realization hit her. She wasn’t sure why it made her feel this way. Maybe it was because she had always known Rose and Scorpius were close, but this secret, this hidden relationship, made her feel betrayed.
She stayed hidden around the corner, her breath caught in her throat, as Scorpius gently cupped Rose’s face, his lips brushing against hers in a quick, tender kiss. It wasn’t like the typical playful pecks that friends shared, but something deeper, something more intimate.
Raven couldn’t move. She didn’t know how to process what she was seeing. She had always considered Rose and Scorpius her friends, and while she knew they had grown close over the past few months, she hadn’t suspected this.
It wasn’t that she was against their relationship; it was the fact that they hadn’t told her. They had kept it hidden, as though she wouldn’t understand or, worse, that they were afraid of her reaction.
Raven’s stomach twisted with an unfamiliar feeling as she turned and quietly walked away, trying to avoid making any noise. She had to get out of there, to clear her head.

That night, as she lay in bed, Raven couldn’t sleep. The image of Scorpius and Rose together kept replaying in her mind. She had always been someone who prided herself on being open with her friends, and now, it felt like the walls around her were being built, even by the people she cared about most.
Raven couldn’t help the feelings of betrayal bubbling up. Why hadn’t they told her? Why had they kept it a secret from her?
She tossed and turned, trying to quiet the storm in her mind, but the more she thought about it, the more upset she became. She had to talk to them—she couldn’t just keep this to herself.

The next day, Raven found herself standing in front of the door to the Slytherin common room. She had to talk to Scorpius and Rose. She had to know why they’d kept their relationship from her.
As soon as Scorpius opened the door, he froze when he saw her standing there.
“Raven...?” He looked a little guilty, like he knew what was coming.
Raven raised an eyebrow, trying to keep her voice steady. “We need to talk.”
Scorpius swallowed nervously, glancing over his shoulder at Rose, who was sitting on the couch, her eyes wide with concern. “It’s not what you think, Raven.”
“Then what is it?” Raven’s voice cracked as the emotions she’d been holding back started to spill out. “Why didn’t you tell me? Why did you keep this a secret from me?”
Rose stood up from the couch, stepping closer. “Raven, it wasn’t like that. We didn’t want to hurt you. We just—”
“You just what?” Raven snapped, her frustration coming to the surface. “Kept it from me? I’m your friend, Rose. I thought I was your friend, Scorpius. You could’ve told me, but instead, you kept it from me, and now I have to find out like this?”
Scorpius opened his mouth, but Raven raised her hand to stop him.
“You knew it would hurt me, didn’t you?” Raven’s voice wavered. “And I get it. You didn’t want me to be upset, but I would’ve liked to know, instead of being the last person to find out. It feels like you don’t trust me.”
Rose’s eyes softened, but Raven wasn’t ready to accept her apology yet. “Raven, I’m sorry. We should’ve told you sooner. It wasn’t about not trusting you, it was just… we didn’t want to make things worse with everything you’re already dealing with.”
Raven crossed her arms over her chest, trying to keep the tears at bay. “You should’ve trusted me to understand. I know I’ve been through a lot, but I don’t want you guys to hide things from me. I don’t want to feel like I’m being left out, or worse—like I’m the last person to know about something that’s so important to both of you.”
There was a long silence as Scorpius and Rose exchanged a glance.
“We never meant for you to feel left out,” Scorpius said quietly. “We just… we didn’t know how to tell you. We thought it would be too much, with everything happening.”
“I get it,” Raven said, her voice softening as she finally let out a shaky breath. “But I’m still hurt. I can’t just pretend everything’s fine when you’ve been hiding something so big from me.”
Rose nodded slowly, her face full of remorse. “We’ll be more open with you, Raven. I promise. We don’t want to hurt you, and I’m really sorry for making you feel that way.”
Raven looked at them both, the weight of everything still heavy in her chest. She wasn’t sure if she could fully forgive them yet, but she knew it would take time.
“I’ll try to understand,” Raven said quietly. “But I need you both to understand why this hurts. I’m your friend, and I care about you both, but this… it just feels like I’ve been left out.”
Scorpius nodded. “We understand, and we’re sorry.”
Raven exhaled slowly, the knot in her stomach loosening a little. “Okay. But just remember: I’m always here for you. I just need to be treated like I’m important enough to be told the truth.”
Rose stepped forward, wrapping her arms around Raven for a quick hug. “I’m really sorry, Raven. We should’ve done better.”
Raven hesitated before returning the hug, her heart still a little heavy but grateful for their apology.
As they pulled away, Scorpius offered a small, apologetic smile. “Let’s make sure we do better from now on, yeah?”
Raven nodded slowly, her emotions still a little raw but starting to settle. “Yeah, we will.”
The three of them stood there in silence for a moment, understanding that although their friendship had been tested, they were still in it together. It would take time to heal the wounds, but with honesty and openness, Raven knew they could come through stronger on the other side.
