Summary: It's has been 6 months since the return and she has felf any pain until now. And her cousin Scorpius witnessed it.
Six months.
For six whole months, Raven Malfoy had been fine. No pain. No shortness of breath. No terrifying, sleepless nights where she thought she was dying.
She had let herself believe it was over.
But she was wrong.
The Great Hall was loud with the usual evening chatter—students laughing, passing notes, sneaking extra desserts before curfew. It was just a normal night. Until it wasn’t.
Raven had been mid-conversation with Scorpius when it hit her.
A sharp, searing burn ignited in her chest, spreading like wildfire through her veins. Her breath hitched.
Her fork clattered against her plate.
“Raven?” Scorpius’s voice was distant, muffled, like he was speaking underwater. “You okay?”
She wasn’t.
She barely managed to nod before her vision blurred. The pain was worse than before. It wasn’t just discomfort—it was all-consuming. It felt like something was ripping her apart from the inside.
Her hands trembled as she gripped the edge of the table.
“Raven—hey—what’s wrong?” Scorpius’s voice was urgent now.
She opened her mouth to respond, but all that came out was a strangled gasp.
Then, her body gave out.
The last thing she saw was Scorpius catching her before everything went black.

When Raven woke up, she was in the Hospital Wing.
The room was dimly lit, the only sound being the quiet drip of the rain against the windows. Her head was pounding, her entire body sore like she had been fighting something.
And sitting beside her, arms crossed, looking furious and worried at the same time— was Scorpius Malfoy.
“You’re awake,” he said flatly.
Raven swallowed. “Yeah…” Her voice was hoarse. “What happened?”
Scorpius shot her a glare. “You collapsed in the Great Hall, nearly scared the life out of me, and now you’re gonna tell me what the hell is going on.”
Raven shifted uncomfortably. “I—I don’t know.”
“Bullshit.”
She flinched. Scorpius never cursed.
“Raven, I watched you nearly die last year. You said the pain was gone. You said you were okay.” His voice was sharp but laced with frustration. “And now it’s back. And you’re still acting like it’s nothing?”
Raven looked away, guilt gnawing at her chest.
“I didn’t think it would come back,” she admitted quietly.
Scorpius exhaled sharply, rubbing a hand over his face. “Well, it did. And now we need to figure out why.”
Raven nodded.
Because deep down, she knew something was terribly wrong.
