Summary: Draco heals his twin.... again
Draco barely heard anything.
Not Mattheo calling his name. Not the whispers of the wind through the trees. Not even his own racing heartbeat.
All he saw was Lola.
Still. Pale. Barely breathing.
“No, no, no,” Draco muttered frantically, his hands shaking as he pressed his wand over her chest. His twin. His other half.
She couldn’t leave him. Not again.
Mattheo knelt beside him, his jaw clenched, his own eyes shining with panic. “Draco, you brought her back once. You can do it again.”
Draco could barely breathe.
His magic had saved her before—but that didn’t mean it would work again. What if—
“Uncle Draco?”
A small, trembling voice.
He looked up to see Raven staring at him, her golden eyes still filled with tears.
“She’ll wake up,” Raven whispered, but she didn’t sound sure.
Draco swallowed hard.
She had to.
Taking a deep breath, he placed his hand over Lola’s heart, his wand pressed firmly against her skin.
And then—
He poured every last bit of his magic into her.
The world around him blurred. His body burned with the effort, his head spun, but he didn’t stop.
He refused to stop.
And then—
A gasp.
Lola’s eyes flew open.
Draco nearly collapsed in relief.
She coughed weakly, her body trembling, and Draco let out a shaky laugh, his hands cradling her face.
“You idiot,” he choked out, pressing his forehead against hers. “Stop scaring me like that.”
Lola managed a small, tired smirk. “Can’t help it… keeps you on your toes.”
Draco barked out a laugh, but his hands still wouldn’t let her go.
Mattheo exhaled deeply, running a hand through his hair. “Bloody hell,” he muttered. “You Malfoys really love the dramatics.”
Raven suddenly climbed into her mother’s lap, hugging her as tight as she could.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered, sobbing into her chest. “I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
Lola’s arms wrapped around her instantly.
“I know, baby,” she whispered, kissing the top of her head. “I know.”
Draco sat beside them, his hand still on his sister’s just to be sure.
And for the first time in what felt like forever—
Everything was finally okay.
