Summary: Lola was taking care of Pansy and Dracos baby while they were out and Raven was in the woods playing without Lola and Mattheo knowing.
The manor had been quiet, aside from the soft coos of Draco and Pansy’s baby in Lola’s arms. The little one had just fallen asleep, her tiny fingers curled into the fabric of Lola’s robes.
Mattheo, leaning back in a chair, glanced over and smirked. “You look like a natural.”
Lola rolled her eyes. “Unlike you, who hasn’t lifted a single finger.”
“I’m supervising,” he said lazily.
Lola opened her mouth to retort when she suddenly noticed something.
The room felt… too empty.
She turned her head sharply. “Where’s Raven?”
Mattheo sat up, his casual smirk fading. “She was just—” He glanced around, eyes narrowing.
“Raven?” Lola called, her heart rate picking up.
Silence.
A faint giggle echoed from outside.
Lola froze.
That sound wasn’t coming from inside the manor.
Mattheo was already on his feet. “No—tell me she didn’t.”
Lola’s stomach dropped.
She rushed to the window and felt the color drain from her face.
There, at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, was Raven’s small figure disappearing into the trees.
Mattheo cursed under his breath. “Not again.”
Without another word, Lola shoved the baby into his arms. “Stay here.”
Then, she bolted out the door.
