Summary: Raven has been feeling baby fever but she didn't want to tell her parents, Uncle Draco, or even Albus but she felt like she needed to tell something so she told her best friend
Raven paced back and forth in the Slytherin common room, her mind racing. She had been feeling off for weeks now, but it wasn’t sickness, stress, or even the dark magic that still haunted her. No, this was something completely different.
She wanted a baby.
And that thought alone terrified her.
She couldn’t tell her parents—they would kill her for even thinking about it. Uncle Draco? He’d probably lock her in the manor until she was thirty. And Albus… well, that was a whole other problem.
Which left her with the one person who could actually keep a secret.
“Rose,” Raven whispered, pulling her best friend into an empty hallway.
Rose raised a brow. “Why do I feel like I’m about to hear something really concerning?”
Raven took a deep breath. “Because you are.”
Rose crossed her arms. “Alright, spill.”
Raven hesitated. The words felt so ridiculous in her head, but she had to get them out. “I think I have—” she swallowed hard, then whispered, “baby fever.”
Rose blinked. “I’m sorry, you what?”
Raven groaned, dragging her hands down her face. “I know! It’s insane. I’m sixteen! But I just… I don’t know, Rose, I keep thinking about it. About having a baby someday. I keep picturing what it would be like, and it just—” She sighed. “It won’t go away.”
Rose stared at her for a long moment before slowly shaking her head. “Raven, you do realize what your mom and dad would do if they even heard you say that, right?”
“I know! That’s why I’m telling you!” Raven groaned. “It’s not like I’m actually planning on doing anything. It’s just a thought. A really annoying thought.”
Rose smirked. “So… did you tell Albus?”
Raven’s face turned bright red. “Absolutely not! Are you crazy?”
Rose chuckled. “Okay, okay! But if you ever actually tell him, please let me be there to witness his face.”
Raven groaned. “You’re the worst.”
“And you have baby fever.”
Raven buried her face in her hands. “Merlin, help me.”
