Summary: Lola finding out she's pregnant with her second kid.
The sun was setting over Malfoy Manor, casting a soft golden glow across the garden. The day had been quiet, almost peaceful, and Lola had spent most of it tending to small tasks around the house. She was in the kitchen now, sipping on a cup of tea, her mind occupied with the usual chaos of her life. But something about the evening felt different—calm in a way she hadn’t experienced in a while.
Mattheo was out, and Raven was busy with her friends. The house was quieter than usual, leaving Lola with a moment of reflection she hadn’t had in weeks.
Her thoughts were interrupted when she felt a sudden wave of nausea rise in her stomach. She frowned, setting her cup down on the counter, and pressed a hand to her abdomen. It had been happening for a few days now—this odd, persistent feeling that she couldn’t shake.
Her first instinct was to brush it off. Stress, too much caffeine, maybe a little food poisoning. But as she stood there in the kitchen, a sinking feeling in her stomach told her it was something more.
Lola walked quickly to the bathroom, her heart beating a little faster now. She pulled the pregnancy test from the cabinet, her hands trembling slightly as she took it, waiting for the results.
The silence in the room felt unbearable as she stared at the test in her hand. She could feel her pulse in her ears.
And then the two little lines appeared.
Pregnant.
Lola stood frozen, her breath catching in her throat. The room spun for a moment, her mind racing as she processed the news.
Pregnant. Again.
She hadn’t been planning on this. They already had Raven, and their lives were chaotic enough. The thought of adding another child into the mix was both exciting and terrifying.
But she couldn’t ignore the sense of joy that blossomed in her chest. A new life. A new beginning.
Lola placed the test down on the counter and stood there, her hands on her hips, feeling a mix of emotions flood over her. She had always wanted a big family, but she hadn’t expected it so soon. And yet, as the idea settled, she realized that this was just another chapter in their life. A chapter she’d face head-on, just like everything else.
Taking a deep breath, she turned toward the door, her mind made up. She needed to tell Mattheo.
When he came home later, he was surprised to find her sitting on the couch, her expression more serious than usual.
He sat next to her, his brow furrowing. “What’s going on? You look… I don’t know, different.”
Lola looked at him, her heart pounding. She didn’t want to overthink this. She didn’t want to make it into a big dramatic moment.
“Mattheo, I… I think I’m pregnant.”
He blinked, processing her words for a moment before his face broke into a wide grin. “What? Are you serious?”
Lola nodded, her hand resting on her stomach. “I’ve taken a test. It’s… positive.”
For a moment, Mattheo just sat there, staring at her, the surprise still lingering in his eyes. Then, without another word, he wrapped her in a tight hug, lifting her off the couch.
“A baby? Another one?!” His voice was full of excitement, and he kissed the top of her head. “Lola, that’s—amazing!”
Lola laughed, feeling a wave of relief wash over her. She hadn’t been sure what to expect, but his reaction made her feel like everything was going to be okay.
“I know it’s a lot to take in,” she said, her smile wide. “But we’ll figure it out. We always do.”
Mattheo looked down at her with an expression of pure affection. “We’ll figure it out. Together. I couldn’t be happier.”
And in that moment, with Mattheo by her side, Lola realized that no matter what came next, they would face it together. The house was going to get a little louder, a little more chaotic, but there would be more love in it than ever before.
She pressed a hand to her stomach, the reality of the pregnancy sinking in.
And then, she grinned.
“Well, I guess we’re going to need a bigger house.”
Mattheo chuckled, pulling her closer. “I’m all for it.”
And with that, the journey of their growing family had just begun.
