Age 10

Summary: Draco and Pansy first argument.
The Malfoy Manor was never silent.
Not with a 10-year-old Raven running through the halls, her laughter echoing against the ancient walls. Not with Lola and Mattheo’s occasional bickering or the sound of a baby crying somewhere in the distance.
But tonight, the halls were filled with something different.
Angry voices.
Draco and Pansy’s first real argument.
“Are you even listening to me?” Pansy’s voice was sharp, her arms crossed as she glared at Draco.
Draco, standing near the fireplace, exhaled slowly, rubbing his temple. “Pansy, I heard you the first hundred times.”
“Then why aren’t you answering me?” she snapped. “You just—shut down every time we talk about this!”
Draco’s jaw clenched. “Because there’s nothing to talk about.”
“Nothing to talk about?” Pansy laughed bitterly, shaking her head. “Draco, this is our child! You can’t keep acting like this is just… just some situation you can ignore!”
Draco’s fingers curled into fists.
“I’m not ignoring anything.”
“You are,” she countered. “You barely talk about the baby. You barely talk about us.”
“I’m handling it, Pansy,” he bit out.
“Handling it?” Pansy stepped forward, her expression a mix of hurt and frustration. “You mean avoiding it. Draco, do you even want this? Or am I the only one who actually cares?”
The words stung.
Draco’s eyes flashed. “Don’t you dare.”
“Then act like it!” Pansy’s voice rose. “You fought for Lola. You fought for Raven. But our baby—what? Are they not as important?”
Draco took a deep breath, trying to keep his temper in check.
“I am not having this conversation right now.”
Pansy laughed humorlessly. “Of course you’re not.”
And with that, she turned on her heel and stormed out of the room, leaving Draco standing there—angry, frustrated, and for the first time… unsure.
He had been through so much. He had lost his sister and brought her back. He had seen what love could do—both the good and the devastating.
And maybe…
Maybe he was just terrified of losing again.
