Summary Raven's sorting in the her house.

Raven stepped up to the Sorting Hat with complete confidence. She had no doubt where she belonged.

Slytherin.

Her whole family had been in Slytherin—her mother, her father, her uncle Draco, even her grandparents. It was in her blood.

As soon as Professor McGonagall lowered the Sorting Hat onto her head, it let out a surprised hum.

"Oh… oh my, this is quite unusual."

Raven frowned. "What do you mean?"

"You are… unique," the Sorting Hat mused. "You have the ambition and cunning of a Slytherin, yes, but also the bravery and fierce loyalty of a Gryffindor. And yet, your mind is razor-sharp, questioning and seeking knowledge like a true Ravenclaw. And I cannot ignore your deep sense of kindness, fairness, and desire to do what is right—a Hufflepuff’s heart, through and through."

Raven’s stomach twisted. "Okay, but… that’s not possible. People don’t get sorted into all four houses."

"No, they don’t," the hat agreed. "But you… you belong to all of them."

The Great Hall seemed to hold its breath as the Sorting Hat took longer than usual.

Even the professors exchanged glances, some looking intrigued, others a little nervous.

At the Slytherin table, Draco was already tapping his fingers impatiently against the table, clearly not liking the delay.

Lola, sitting next to him, looked equally concerned.

Mattheo was watching closely, his usual smirk replaced by curiosity.

Finally, after what felt like forever, the Sorting Hat spoke.

"You are a child of all four houses… a rarity, indeed. But since I must choose, I leave the final choice to you."

Raven’s eyes widened. "I get to pick?"

"Indeed. The path is yours to walk."

Raven’s mind spun.

This was never supposed to happen.

She had expected to be put in Slytherin instantly. She had never considered anything else.

Her gaze flickered toward the four house tables.

Slytherin, where her entire family had gone.

Gryffindor, where students stood fearless against danger.

Ravenclaw, where knowledge was power.

Hufflepuff, where loyalty and kindness ruled.

For the first time in her life, Raven felt truly torn.

The entire room was waiting.

And the choice was hers.
