Summary Raven in trouble...
“Bloody hell, it’s not working!” Rose frantically waved her wand, trying cooling spells, but the heat radiating off Raven was unnatural.
Albus had laid her down on her bed, panic clear in his eyes. Scorpius was pacing, running his hands through his hair. No one knew what to do.
Rose, thinking fast, grabbed Raven’s uniform shirt and unbuttoned it, sliding it off her shoulders. Maybe exposing her skin to the cool air would help—but it didn’t.
If anything, the heat only seemed to grow.
Raven gasped for air, her body trembling. Beads of sweat rolled down her forehead, her skin burning to the touch.
“Why isn’t this working?!” Rose cried, her voice laced with desperation.
Albus wasn’t thinking anymore.
He grabbed a cloth, dunked it in cold water from a nearby basin, and pressed it against Raven’s bare shoulders. Still nothing.
Then—Scorpius froze.
“Wait.” His voice was shaky. “Look at her chest.”
Rose and Albus stared.
Right in the center of Raven’s chest, black markings were spreading.
Like cracks. Like something beneath her skin was breaking free.
Albus’s blood ran cold.
“…This isn’t just a fever.” His voice was barely above a whisper. “This is dark magic.”
And none of them knew how to stop it.
