Summary Scorpius gives Raven Advice
Raven had never been this embarrassed in her entire life.
She needed to get a grip.
It wasn’t like she could avoid Albus—he was her boyfriend, for Merlin’s sake! But every time he so much as smiled at her, her brain short-circuited, and all she could think about was how adorable he was… and how much she wanted a family with him one day.
Not now. Obviously not now!
But that didn’t stop the insane warmth in her chest whenever she imagined it.
The worst part? Scorpius knew.
And he would not let her live it down.
“So,” he drawled as they walked to Charms class, “when are you and Albus gonna give me a little cousin?”
Raven froze in horror.
“WHAT?!” she screeched, spinning around to smack him.
Scorpius cackled, dodging out of the way. “Oh, come on! I see the way you look at him—”
“I DO NOT—”
“You absolutely do.”
Raven groaned, covering her face. “I hate you.”
Scorpius grinned. “No, you don’t. But seriously, what’s got you all… weird lately?”
Raven hesitated. He was her cousin. And despite being a pain, he was also her best friend.
With a heavy sigh, she muttered, “I just… I don’t know. It’s like… I see him, and I know we’re too young, but the idea of a family with him someday just feels right. And it’s driving me insane because I can’t stop thinking about it.”
For once, Scorpius didn’t tease her. Instead, he gave her a considering look.
“Well,” he said, “if it makes you feel any better, you definitely shouldn’t rush into anything. But if it’s something you really want—someday—then I don’t think it’s a bad thing to dream about.”
Raven blinked. “You’re actually being nice to me?”
Scorpius smirked. “Don’t get used to it.”
She rolled her eyes, but before she could respond, a familiar voice called out.
“Hey, Raven! Wait up!”
It was Albus.
The second she turned to look at him, all of her thoughts came rushing back, and—just as expected—her face burned red.
Scorpius just grinned.
And Raven knew she’d never hear the end of it.
