Summary: It was the last day of Hogwarts and Raven didn't want to leave but she had to say bye to her friend Harry. She was very upset about it.
The final day of Hogwarts was always bittersweet, filled with both excitement and a sense of finality. For the students, it marked the end of their journey and the beginning of their next chapters. But for Raven, it felt like a weight on her small shoulders.
She didn’t want to leave. Not yet.
Hogwarts had become her second home—a place filled with magic, wonder, and a group of people she considered family. Raven had formed a special bond with Harry Potter, of all people. The boy who had always seemed larger than life—Harry—had become her friend, and she adored him like an older brother.
But now, it was time to say goodbye.
“Do we have to go?” Raven asked, her small voice choked with emotion, as she stood in front of the gates of Hogwarts, looking back at the towering castle. “I don’t want to leave.”
Lola crouched down to her daughter’s level, brushing a stray lock of hair from Raven’s face. She could feel the weight of the emotions swirling in the air—her own, Mattheo’s, Draco’s.
“I know, baby,” Lola said softly. “But we’ll come back. This place will always be home.”
Raven’s eyes filled with tears, and she shook her head. “But I’ll miss Harry. He’s my best friend.”
Lola’s heart broke at the sight of her daughter’s distress. She glanced over at Harry, who stood a few feet away, talking with Hermione and Ron, his expression also heavy with the knowledge that their time together was ending.
Raven clutched at her mother’s hand. “I don’t want to say goodbye to him.”
Lola stood up and walked with Raven toward Harry, who saw them coming and gave Raven a soft smile, his own emotions mirroring hers.
“Hey, Raven,” Harry said gently, crouching down so he was eye level with her.
Raven sniffled, wiping her eyes quickly, but her lips wobbled as she looked up at him. “I don’t want to go,” she whispered. “I’m going to miss you.”
Harry’s expression softened, and he placed a hand on her shoulder. “I’ll miss you too, Raven. But you can always write to me. And when you come back, we’ll have even more adventures together, okay?”
Raven looked down at her feet for a moment, her lip trembling, but then she nodded. “Okay.”
She threw her arms around Harry in a big, tight hug, and Harry was taken aback for a moment—before he hugged her back just as fiercely.
Lola couldn’t help the smile that crept onto her face at the scene. There was something so pure about the bond between her daughter and Harry, something that had formed despite everything they had been through.
When they pulled away, Raven looked up at Harry, wiping at her eyes. “I’ll miss you,” she said again, this time with more resolve in her voice. “But I’ll come back and see you. I promise.”
Harry nodded. “I know you will, Raven.” He ruffled her hair playfully. “And when you do, we’ll have lots of fun. You’re a part of the family now.”
Raven’s face lit up at that, and she smiled through her tears.
Lola squeezed Harry’s shoulder. “Thank you, Harry. For everything.”
He smiled warmly at her. “You’re family too, Lola. We’ll always be here for you guys.”
As Raven took one last look at Harry, the castle, and all her friends, a sense of peace washed over her. Hogwarts would always be her first home—her heart would always be here.
But now, she was ready to go home to her family. And she’d be back.
With a small smile and one last wave, Raven squeezed her mother’s hand. They turned and walked away from the castle—but not forever.
