Flashing red and blue lights lit up the night, splitting the darkness in bursts. Rain pattered softly down on the police cars and wet ground.

Next to a ritzy apartment lay a dead body. It was cold, but it was hard to tell if that was from time or the chilly rain. The victim had been shot through the eye, his throat slit, and his hands folded peacefully across his chest.

The scene was eerie. A ritualistic killing had taken place. This wasn't the act of a newbie or one-time killer. This was serious.

A police car came to a stop outside the scene and you emerged from inside. Unlike the others, you do not hold an umbrella. You allow the rain to soak through your hair and clothing.

Your eyes were glassy, as though you didn't actually see anything at all. But the moment you stepped out of the car, something in the air shifted. The crowd around the body parted to let you through. No one said a word.

You walked over to the body, heels clicking on the concrete. Expressionless, you began to circle the corpse. Then, without saying a single word, you closed your eyes tightly.

The cops disappeared and, in their place, a dark figure stepped calmly over to the body. But the body was no longer a corpse, instead he stood upright, greeting the mysterious figure with a handshake in one hand, while his other hand held a glass of whiskey.

There was no warning when the dark figure raised his gun and shot the victim through the eye. The man teetered for a moment before he crumpled to the ground, dead. The dark figure wasn't done, however. He pulled out a knife and slit his throat before arranging the body in the position you had found him in.

Your eyes opened. The dark figure faded away, but the body remained. You circled the corpse again, glassy eyes narrowing.

"He trusted them. Knew them. They even had a drink together," you gestured vaguely towards the shattered glass scattered across the wet ground, "The killer aimed precisely. They were someone with anatomical knowledge. Perhaps military training."

Your voice was soft and detached, almost bored-seeming. The cops exchanged impressed looks. "She's not like us, huh?" one of them whispered.

Suddenly, you kneeled down and pointed at a large shard of glass. "That fingerprint is different from the others. Run that print, please."

Then, you walked away to lean against your car, closing your eyes and doing a deep breathing exercise. The police quickly bagged the glass shard, whispering amongst each other in awe.

From a rooftop where the crime scene could be easily seen stood two men. The taller one had spiky black hair and wore all black. Sat next to him was a shorter man whose blond hair was starting to grow out, showing natural brown at the top.

The taller man adjusted his binoculars, a smirk on his lips as he watched you decompress. "She saw it all just by standing there," he said, impressed.

The blonde beside him yawned, "Creepy. She's like a human CCTV, Kuroo."

Kuroo laughed, "She's better than CCTV, Kenma, she doesn't just see, she understands."

Kenma played with the settings on his laptop, watching the cameras that were positioned around the alleyway and listening to police broadcasts at the same time. "Are you sure we're not in trouble?"
