Soon enough both Joe and Demi turned seventeen just before they started their senior year. They had remained close for a couple of years but just recently Demi had notice them slowly growing apart, it was since Joe had started dating, since he found friends on the football team being there himself. Demi's crush still remained present but she had learnt more how to cope with it, having to watch Joe date other girls and not herself, it was tough but she had to do it. She didn't want to lose her best friend by telling him how she felt or by trying to sabotage a relationship she had. But she could feel him slowly fading from her life. Demi entered the school with Joe by her side like they did every morning. Joe would soon wonder off.

"Can I copy our History homework from you at lunch? I didn't get chance to do mine last night." Joe questioned looking down at his best friend who sighed.

"Sure but why haven't you done it?" Demi questioned back.

"I took Emily to the movies, speaking of my gorgeous girlfriend." Joe grinned leaving Demi wondering over to the lockers where he saw Emily. Demi watched as Joe kissed her pinning her up against the lockers. She took in a deep breath before wondering away herself. She never knew Emily would be the one to steal Joe from her. She was sure she wasn't interested.

Joe smiled down at Emily as he pulled away from her pecking her lips once more before taking hold of both her hands. Emily couldn't help but bite her lip as she looked up at her boyfriend who laid his forehead on hers neither of them saying anything but their silence spoke words. They had been together for a year now.

"Did you not get enough last night?" She questioned Joe smirking down at her.

"I'll never get enough of you." He mumbled before kissing her neck a little bit. Emily smiled knotting her fingers in his hair.

"Pull away now." They heard as a teacher walked past, Joe pulled away laughing kissing her lips gently again.

"He's only jealous that I have a sexy girlfriend," Joe grinned kissing her lips over and over again as she giggled squeezing his hands. "I love you."

"I love you too Joe, since kindergarten remember." She winked at him Joe smiling pulling completely away from her but kept hold of one of her hands beginning to wonder down the hall with towards his locker so they could get to class on time.

"I was too young to realise how beautiful you were." Joe answered kissing the side of her head, Emily smiled leaning her head on his arm. She found it hard to believe when Joe had asked her out, he never shown an interest in her before but he had admitted he'd had a crush on her for a while because he got the courage to ask her out.

"You should be with Demi, I bet she feels left out." Emily insisted standing straight again but Joe shook his head gently.

"Your my girlfriend and I want to spend time with you, Demi and I are going bowling after school anyways so I'll spend the day with my girlfriend." Emily knew how long Joe and Demi had been friends, she didn't want their relationship to ruin because Joe was dating her. She had tried to be friends with Demi already but it wasn't working, Joe assured her that Demi was just a shy girl. She found it hard to speak to new people.

"Did you get your homework done when you got home?" Joe shook his head gently only gaining a smack from his girlfriend. "Joseph!"

"What?! I was too busy with you!" He defended. "Demi is letting me copy hers at lunch." Emily sighed shaking her head gently as they joined the rest of their gang, Demi watched down the hall at her own locker wondering what she did wrong to lose her best friend like this.
