Joe shot up awake breathing heavy taking in breaths as he remembered how to breath laying his head back down on the pillow, he looked to his side seeing that it was six in the morning. It was his wedding day today, he let a small smile come to his lips but he was nervous that his nightmare was going to come true. That he was going to say the wrong name at the altar, he knew he should have told Demi that he knew she liked him. He was starting to grow stronger feelings for her too but he had to push them away. He was with Emily.
"Joe are you okay?" He heard a voice looking on the floor in front of him seeing his youngest brother. He then remembered he was in his bedroom as his was being redone into a upstairs bathroom. He was only staying so he didn't see Emily on their wedding day, not until they met each other at the top of the alter to commit themselves to each other.
"Yeah I'm okay buddy, you want to come up here?" Frankie got up from the floor laying down next to his older brother smiling as he wrapped his arm around him.
"What's it like to be in love?" Frankie questioned.
"It's amazing Frank but your too young to think about that sort of thing." Joe teased moving some hair from his eyes. He admired his youngest brother with there being such an age gap between him and the his two other brothers. He thought sometimes he might feel left out.
"This girl likes me at school but I don't like her an..." Frankie begun but Joe interrupted him.
"Oh no," He laughed. "Are you sure you don't like her?"
"I'm sure why?" Frankie questioned confused.
"Because Emily liked me when we were eleven and I didn't, look where we are now. All I'm saying is realise what your feelings are before you tell yourself you don't like her because you might end up marrying her one day. But Frankie your eleven, be a kid because soon enough you'll be working and wishing you were a kid again." Joe advised Frankie smiling nodding his head.
"Thanks Joe!" He exclaimed giving his brother a hug before climbing off the bed.
"You're so sweet." He heard his mother voice looking at the door.
"I just remember going to Kevin for the same advice." Joe shrugged his shoulders gently but had a smile on his face as he rolled out of bed. To get ready for his wedding.
"Come on Demi you have to go get ready for the wedding." Dianna encouraged but Demi shook her head gently feeling the tears roll down her cheeks as she laid her hand on her bump. He was getting married today yet she was the one carrying his babies. She had started to feel movement by now and she will admit she was falling in love with them. All three of them.
"I don't wanna go mom, I-I love him." Dianna sighed laying down on the bed next to her wrapping her arms around her daughter embracing her.
"I know you do sweetie but there's nothing anyone can change, the only people who can are Joe and Emily. Once these babies are born you need to think about moving on, you can't stay single for the rest of your life." Dianna encouraged.
"I don't want another man, I love Joe." She mumbled crying into her mother.
"I know you do but he's getting married today, spending the rest of his life with Emily and you need to except that. I love you I really do Demi and I hate to see you so upset." Dianna kissed her daughter's head.
"I love you too mom." She muttered.
"You need to stay calm for the babies, go take a long bath and get ready. Your strong Demi and you can do this." They pulled away from each other Dianna wiping her eyes before they both got up. Demi kept telling herself she could do this but now the time came she didn't know if she could. She loved Emily as a person but she had taken away the man she loved from her. She didn't know if being Joe's best friend was enough for her.
