Elliot spent about a month in the hospital putting on weight his parents and sisters coming to visit him two to three times a day but it was hard when Joe started work again. He needed to go so he could earn money for the five of them but Demi would have to take Evie and Elsie look after them while she was attending to Elliot, she'd have to do it too when he was home with his sisters. Today was the day he was finally coming home to his parents and sisters. They were all glad to have him home so they could finally start their life with their triplets without needing to go back to the hospital every day. They would need to go back for checkups but other than that they were all free from the hospital and they hoped it stayed that way.
"Aw my baby boy is so big!" Demi cooed lifting Elliot up in her arms kissing his cheek gently. He was still small compared to his sisters but he was now big enough to come home. "Look daddy is coming with your sisters." Demi turned so he could see Joe approaching them with Evie and Elsie in his arms. It was hard to cart the stroller through the hospital.
"Hey buddy." Joe greeted kissing his head gently.
"I wish you both the best of luck with them, you need to sign some papers if you have a spare hand before you go." Miranda stated the two of them laughing along with them. The past month had been hectic with just Evie and Elsie never mind bringing Elliot into it as well but they were ready for the challenge. Their relationship was still going well, they had only gotten closer spending as much time with each other as they could while the girls were sleeping. They would be glad to get Elliot home now, he was their little surprise and their home wouldn't be complete until he was home and the crib in their bedroom was full.
It felt like they were bringing home another newborn baby when they got home but they loved the feeling. Joe was carrying Elliot this time with Evie in his other arm as Demi took in Elsie, they got into the house where they laid the triplets down in the crib together.
"They are finally together." Demi stated feeling the tears burning her eyes, Joe smiled wrapping his arm around her kissing the side of her head as they admired their three babies. Soon the crib would be too big for the three of them and they'd have to move into their nursery where they had three separate ones but they'd try and keep them together as much as they can.
"Do you think they are as relieved as we are?" Joe questioned Demi giggling slightly leaning her head on his shoulder not able to keep her eyes on just one of her children, her eyes were moving across the three of them.
"I just wish the little man good luck growing up with two sisters and they are both older too." Joe laughed this time.
"I think they'll protect him, they'll be close as they grow up or I hope so anyway. I couldn't imagine growing up with my brothers and us fighting all the time," Joe answered but their eyes soon moved to Evie who begun to whimper as she woke up. "Hey baby girl you don't need to cry, mommy and daddy are here." Joe cooed leaning down lifting his eldest child up in his arms rocking her gently watching as Elsie now begun to whimper too.
"Oh and it begins." Demi complained lifting her up, Joe laughed again as they begun to rock their girls in hope they would settle down before Elliot woke up too from his nap. They knew that it was going to be hard raising their three children but they had support from their family and friends if they ever needed help.
"Quick! It's a race, get them changed before Elliot needs changing! "Joe exclaimed getting on the floor pulling out the changing mat from under the couch. Demi shook her head as she got on her knees next to him laying the two girls down on the mat.
"You do know this is going to be our life for the next two or three years?" Demi questioned Joe chuckling nodding his head. Their lives were never going to be the same but they wouldn't have it any other way.
