Demi helped Joe back into bed the best she could with her bump pulling the covers back over him as he slowly got his breath back. She frowned wiping away his sweaty forehead with a damp cloth before helping him take a drink of water. Joe however cracked a small smile as he laid back down onto the pillow.
"Makes a change you rubbing my back but you should go, I don't want you getting sick too." Joe mumbled but Demi shook her head gently.
"You need someone to look after you and I'll do it." Demi demanded wiping his forehead again, he was sweating but he still felt cold. It had been about a week since they found out they were having three girls and they were trying to get everything ready for them and Joe getting ill was just putting it back a bit. Demi couldn't do much now and was relaying on Joe to help her get around but now he wasn't up to it either.
"T-The babies though." He stammered his voice groggy from his sinuses being blocked up, she could see he was about ready to fall back to sleep after spending half an hour in the bathroom bringing up what she had just managed to get him to eat.
"We'll be fine, I've called your mom and she's coming down to help," Demi couldn't help but laugh when he groaned. "Go to sleep Joe and rest." Joe chuckled slightly before closing his eyes falling to sleep almost instantly, it had taken her a while to get him to admit that he was ill in the first place yesterday when he was about to go into work. She wiped his forehead one last time before setting it on the bedside table. She made sure he had his water glass filled up before she sat down on the chair he had in his bedroom. She was able to get down the stairs herself but she didn't trust herself, she preferred someone to guide her. She opened her book smiling as she read through the baby names, she laid a hand down on her bump trying to find her favourite names for her girls. She was so happy she could be there to raise them now, that they would call her mommy and not another woman but a part of her still wanted Emily to be around so she could do what was intended in the first place. She never got to be a mother like she wanted.
Denise sat down on the edge of the bed once she had helped Demi back downstairs and made some homemade soup for her son. Joe was relieved that Demi didn't have to look after him, he didn't want her catching what he had because it could be more deadly towards the girls than it would be to either of them. He wanted all three or his girls here in July.
"How are you feeling?" Denise questioned.
"Like crap," He mumbled making her laugh a little bit. "Is Demi okay?" He questioned back as he sat up so he could eat the soup which might warm him up and make him feel better. Or it could just make him feel worse if he ended back in the bathroom.
"She's watching telly with her feet up." Denise answered setting the tray down on her lap Joe taking the spoon in his hand.
"We have two names we like." Joe revealed.
"Really what are they?" Joe smiled slightly at the thought of the names his daughters would be called. They would be meeting them before they confirmed any names but at the moment they had two which they had fallen in love with.
"Evie Emily and Elsie May, we've been thinking about Ella or Ellie too for the third." Joe replied slurping up some of his soup.
"Those are beautiful names Joe, are you sure you want to call her Emily though?" Joe nodded his head gently as a reply before he swallowed the soup.
"I don't think I could call her first name Emily but her middle name is fine, she was an amazing woman and all three of them will know about her as they grow up." Joe answered smiling as his mother leaned over kissing his forehead.
